Kia updated the Optima's optional UVO telematics system for the 2015 model year and revised the car's trim levels. Buyers can choose from LX, EX, SX, and SXL trims, and the standard engine is a four-cylinder with 192 horsepower. A more potent 274-hp turbocharged engine is available, and every Optima has a six-speed automatic transmission. Kia also sells a hybrid version. The Optima fuel economy is 23/33/26 mpg in city/highway/combined driving with the base engine, and 20/30/24 mpg with the optional powertrain. This midsize sedan seats five people and supplies 15.4 cubic-feet of trunk space.
