What's New for the 2025 Toyota Sienna

The Sienna minivan for 2025 gets Toyota's latest infotainment system, available with 8.0- or 12.3-inch screen sizes. The same trim levels that include the bigger touchscreen also get a new 12.3-inch digital driver display. All Siennas receive an updated wireless charging pad along with USB-C charging points placed throughout the cabin (one USB-A remains up front).

The Sienna Limited and Platinum trims gain access to an integrated vacuum and refrigerated compartment. Finally, there's new rear-seat-reminder technology, which uses in-vehicle sensors and a series of escalating parameters and alerts to ensure children or animals aren't accidentally left inside.

One of the Toyota Sienna's biggest advantages over most of its competition is its standard hybrid powertrain, which gets 36 mpg in combined city and highway driving.

Pros

  • Exceptional standard fuel economy
  • Available all-wheel drive
  • Wide range of trim-level options

Cons

  • Second-row seats cannot be removed
  • Relatively slow acceleration compared with competitors

2025 Toyota Sienna Trim Levels

The 2025 Toyota Sienna stands out for its diverse selection of six trim levels, including sporty and outdoor-themed options. There's the entry-level LE, mid-grade XLE, sporty-looking XSE, outdoors-oriented Woodland, and luxurious Limited and Platinum. All come with a hybrid powertrain that produces 245 horsepower. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is an option on all models except the Woodland, which comes standard with AWD.

  • LE

The LE is exclusively an eight-seat vehicle. Toyota equips it with 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, second-row sunshades, three-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, and a six-speaker audio system. The dashboard features a 7.0-inch driver display, push-button ignition, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.

  • XLE

Most shoppers will likely skip right past the LE when they hear what the XLE adds. This trim level is the only one to offer seven- and eight-seat configurations, and it improves on the LE with proximity keyless entry, hands-free operation for the sliding doors, a power liftgate, heated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, four-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and an eight-speaker stereo.

  • XSE

Every trim from the XSE up has seven seats. The XSE is the "sporty" version of the Sienna, which means it features a stiffer suspension than the rest, plus black accents, a mesh grille, and dark 18- or 20-inch wheels. A 12.3-inch digital driver display replaces the 7.0-inch unit, and ventilated front seats and third-row sunshades are available.

  • Limited

Limited models receive leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a 12-speaker JBL stereo, and third-row sunshades. A digital rearview mirror, universal garage door opener, console fridge, and vacuum are optional.

  • Woodland Edition

The Woodland Edition is much like the XSE, but it has standard AWD, trim-specific wheels, cross bars above the roof, a towing hitch receiver, and a 12-speaker JBL stereo.

  • Platinum

The Platinum improves on the Limited with rain-sensing windshield wipers, a head-up display, a console fridge, a vacuum, a heated steering wheel, heated second-row captain's chairs, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system.

2025 Toyota Sienna Cargo Capacity and Towing

With all its seats in place, the Toyota Sienna minivan offers 33.5 cubic-feet of cargo space. Its maximum cargo capacity totals 101 cu-ft and its maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds.

2025 Toyota Sienna Fuel Economy

Equipped with FWD, the 2025 Sienna achieves an EPA-estimated 36 mpg in combined city and highway driving, thanks to its hybrid powertrain. That figure falls to 35 mpg combined with the available AWD system.

2025 Toyota Sienna Safety Ratings and Features

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the Sienna its best possible overall safety rating of five stars. In tests performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Sienna received an unimpressive "Marginal" score in a new version of the moderate overlap frontal-impact test.

The Sienna comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite of driver-assistance systems. It includes forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist. An advanced rear-seat-reminder system, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning are also standard.

All but the base LE come with front and rear parking sensors and reverse automatic braking. The Platinum adds a 360-degree surround-view camera system.
