The Lincoln Navigator rolls into the 2027 model year largely unchanged. Notable mechanical updates include the availability of two-wheel drive across the lineup, while the Heavy Duty Tow Package is now optional, not standard, on the range-topping Black Label model.

Otherwise, the updates are largely cosmetic. A trio of new hues, including Nocturnal Blue Metallic, Bronze Fire, and Frosted Fig replace three outgoing finishes, and there's a new Afterglow interior color option. Additionally, a power-reclining 40/20/40-split third-row seating configuration is now available for the Navigator Reserve.

Buyers considering a luxurious SUV have no shortage of choices. Among the full-size selections, the 2027 Lincoln Navigator might be most defined by what it doesn't offer. It isn't trying to be an off-road brute in a suit, and there's no hot-rod version.

Instead, the 2027 Navigator is focused mostly on providing a tech-forward, stylish package that coddles its occupants and provides a respite from the outside world. It's old-school luxury with a technological twist.

2027 Lincoln Navigator Trim Levels

The Lincoln Navigator is a full-size three-row luxury SUV designed to offer posh accommodations, impressive cargo capacity, and robust towing capability. Lincoln offers the Navigator in three trim levels: Premiere, Reserve, and Black Label. A long-wheelbase version, called the Navigator L, is also available but is not included in this overview.

All versions of the Navigator feature a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine making 440 horsepower, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and an adaptive suspension. While the 2026 Navigator was offered solely with four-wheel drive, buyers planning to stick to the pavement can now opt for two-wheel drive at each trim level.

The highlights of each trim's standard features follow below:

Premiere

Given its focus and price point, even the entry-level Navigator Premiere is well equipped. The wheels span 22 inches, and acoustic glass on the first- and second-row windows helps keep noise at bay. Notable creature comforts inside the cabin include a 48.0-inch panoramic display, a 14-speaker audio system, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, synthetic-leather seating surfaces, and tri-zone automatic climate control. The front seats feature heating and massage functions, while the power-sliding second-row bench seat is heated. Lincoln BlueCruise, which allows for hands-free driving, is also standard.

Reserve

The next tier Reserve adds power running boards, a panoramic glass roof with a power sunshade, and an available Jet Appearance package with a gloss-black grille, roof rails, and wheels. Inside, there's a 28-speaker audio system, real leather seating surfaces, and the option to upgrade the second-row bench to a pair of captain's chairs with heating and ventilation. Reserve models also come with Lincoln's Rejuvenate package, which blends ambient lighting, sounds, scents, and massage to create a spa-like environment in the cabin.

Black Label

Navigator Black Label models feature a satin aluminum grille with an illuminated Lincoln logo. They're also the only version available with 24-inch wheels. Along with offering nearly every option on the menu, the cabin features upgraded perforated leather seating and a synthetic-suede headliner. Black Label customers can choose from a trio of interior themes with premium stitch patterns, trim materials, and color schemes. The ultimate version of the Navigator comes with perks designed to provide a first-class ownership experience. When maintenance is required, the vehicle will be picked up and delivered back to its owners after the service is complete. Notably, all scheduled service, including wear items such as brake pads and wiper blades, is free for the first 50,000 miles. The Lincoln Connectivity Package, which features unlimited Wi-Fi, is included for four years.

2027 Lincoln Navigator Cargo Capacity and Towing

The 2027 Navigator can accommodate 22.9 cubic-feet of cargo behind the third row, 60.8 cu-ft behind the second row, and 107 cu-ft behind the first row. To ensure maximum cargo capacity, the 60/40-split third row folds flat at the touch of a button.

Lincoln's innovative Split Gate provides access to the cargo area through a combination of a conventional liftgate and a tailgate. Opening only the top portion leaves the tailgate in place to prevent objects already in the cargo area from rolling out. Opening both allows for easier loading of heavy objects, and with its 500-pound capacity, the tailgate provides a place to sit. To elevate your next tailgating session, an available Cargo Tailgate Manager can be configured to provide a backrest or a table.

When properly configured, the 2027 Navigator can tow up to 8,700 pounds. Standard towing tech includes Trailer Reverse Guidance, which employs the vehicle's exterior cameras to aid in lining up to the hitch, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which allows drivers to control the angle of approach from a knob on the dashboard. The optional Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Package includes Trailer Hitch Assist, a semi-autonomous mode that can hook up a trailer with minimal human intervention.

2027 Lincoln Navigator Safety Ratings and Features

As of publication, neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) had published safety ratings for the 2027 Navigator.

Every Lincoln Navigator comes with Lincoln Co-Pilot360 Drive 2.0, a robust collection of active safety technologies. It includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, lane-keeping assist, and lane-centering assist.

For driving in heavy traffic, the Navigator has adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and also features Lincoln's Predictive Speed Assist tech, which reads the road ahead and adapts the set speed of the vehicle accordingly. Other helpful driver aids include Intersection Assist, which can automatically apply the brakes to help avoid collisions when moving through intersections. To help navigate tight parking spots, a surround-view camera is also standard.

Lincoln additionally equips the 2027 Navigator with BlueCruise, a hands-free driving technology that manages acceleration, braking, and steering on approved limited-access highways across the United States and Canada.
