What's New for the 2025 Lexus NX
The Lexus NX, a compact luxury SUV, features enhanced in-car charging for the 2025 model year, with two additional USB-C ports added to the front console storage box and wireless charging available on all trim levels. The 2025 Lexus NX's other new standard features include automatic wipers, a power liftgate, and parking sensors with automatic braking.
The Lexus NX stands out for its distinctive powertrain lineup, which includes an efficient naturally aspirated engine (NX 250), a turbocharged upgrade (NX 350), and two hybrids: the NX 350h and the plug-in hybrid NX 450h+.

2025 Lexus NX Trim Levels
The 2025 Lexus NX is available in four trim levels, each with a different powertrain. They consist of the NX 250 (2.5-liter four-cylinder making 203 horsepower), NX 350 (275-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder), NX 350h (240-hp hybrid), and NX 450h+ (304-hp plug-in hybrid).
The NX 250 and NX 350 come with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while both hybrids are fitted with a continuously variable transmission. Only the NX 250 comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD). All-wheel drive (AWD) is an option on the NX 250 and standard on all others.
There are several feature packages available per trim level, but not every package is available on every trim.
- Base
Standard equipment on the base NX 250, NX 350, and NX 350h includes 18-inch wheels, LED fog lights, a power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated power-adjustable front seats, simulated leather upholstery, a 9.8-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a 10-speaker sound system.
- Premium
This is available on the NX 250, NX 350, and NX 350h. It adds a power sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, driver-seat memory settings, and a power-adjustable steering wheel.
- Luxury
This is the entry point for the NX 450h+ and is available on all trims except the NX 250. It adds upgraded LED headlights, leather upholstery, a 14.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and a three-year trial subscription to internet-based integrated navigation. The NX 450h+ also includes 20-inch wheels.
- F Sport Handling
Available on the NX 350 and NX 450h+, the F Sport Handling package builds on the Premium trim level, adding black 20-inch wheels, an adaptive sport-tuned suspension, a heated steering wheel, and a head-up display.

2025 Lexus NX Cargo Capacity and Towing
The 2025 Lexus NX offers 22.7 cubic-feet of cargo space when all its seats are up; its maximum cargo capacity totals 46.9 cu-ft. The luxury SUV will tow up to 2,000 pounds, depending on trim level.
2025 Lexus NX Fuel Economy
The 2025 Lexus NX 250 returns an EPA-estimated 28 mpg in combined city and highway driving with FWD and 28 mpg combined with AWD. The NX 350 returns 24 mpg combined, while the NX 350h hybrid returns 39 mpg combined.
The NX 450h+ can travel an EPA-estimated 37 miles on electricity with a fully charged battery. Once that's depleted, it operates as a regular hybrid with EPA-estimated fuel economy of 36 mpg combined. It is also rated at 84 MPGe.

2025 Lexus NX Safety Ratings and Features
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has not fully tested the 2025 Lexus NX, though the vehicle did receive four out of five stars for frontal protection and five stars for side protection. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) named the 2025 Lexus NX a 2025 Top Safety Pick for its sufficiently high scores in all relevant categories.
Advanced driver-assistance features include forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking (with pedestrian detection), lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot and rear cross-traffic warning, and adaptive cruise control with lane-centering steering assist. Automatic high-beam headlights and parking sensors with automatic braking are also included. A surround-view camera system is optional on NXs with the Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling packages.
