When BMW introduced the X7 three-row SUV for the 2019 model year, a collective cheer arose from fans of the brand who needed extra space for passengers and cargo. The BMW X7 shares its platform with the excellent X5, but it’s stretched like taffy in almost every direction so that it’s taller, wider, and longer. The result is a large SUV with an accommodating third-row seat and more cargo space than any BMW Sports Activity Vehicle to come before it. Two turbocharged engines are available, and all-wheel drive is standard. For 2023, BMW gives the X7 a significant refresh that ushers in yet another evolution of the automaker’s classic design.
