These five pre-owned electric vehicles (EVs) can help alleviate range anxiety. They include models that are estimated to offer at least 250 miles of driving range on a single charge, and they are made by carmakers ranked among the top 16 auto brands in Consumer Reports' reliability study.

On average, EVs lose about 2% of their driving range each year as their batteries age, according to transportation and tech company Geotab. The driving range is the main focus of this article, so we've limited our picks to 2025 models. 

With excellent standard features and safety equipment, the EVs below are equipped to go the distance. They are listed from highest to lowest driving range.

2025 Tesla Model 3 

Every version of the 2025 Model 3 sedan is rated to deliver more than 250 miles of estimated driving range. The Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) trim with the standard wheel size offers the best range, at 363 miles. All Model 3s have heated and ventilated front seats, a 15.4-inch dashboard touchscreen, and an 8.0-inch rear touchscreen; you also get advanced driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.

2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 

Every Ioniq 6 except the base SE Standard Range is expected to travel more than an estimated 250 miles on a full charge. The SE RWD does best in that area, with a range of 342 miles. Navigation and a 12.3-inch touchscreen are standard, and all models include driver aids such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. 

Hyundai ranks 12th out of 26 brands in Consumer Reports' reliability study.

2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E

Most Mustang Mach-E models have more than 250 miles of range, with the Premium RWD leading the pack at about 320 miles when equipped with the extended-range battery. This SUV comes standard with features such as wireless device charging and a 15.5-inch touchscreen, and all models include driver-assist features like a 360-degree camera. 

Consumer Reports places Ford 11th out of 26 brands in its reliability study.

2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV 

Every Equinox EV offers more than 300 miles of driving range, and all of this SUV's front-wheel-drive (FWD) models travel an estimated 319 miles on a full charge. Standard features include navigation and a 17.7-inch infotainment display, and all models have helpful driver-assistance features such as active blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist. 

Consumer Reports ranks Chevrolet 16th out of 26 brands for reliability.

The EV6 Light Long Range, Wind, and GT-Line models have an estimated range of more than 250 miles, and RWD versions of those trim levels deliver 319 miles of range. 

Only the 2025 Kia EV6 Standard Range RWD (237 miles of range) and 2025 Kia EV6 AWD GT (231 miles of range) do not offer at least 250 miles of range.Standard driver aids include blind-spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and lane-keeping assist. All models feature amenities such as heated front seats and wireless device charging.
