2025 Chevrolet TraxChevrolet

The Chevrolet Trax is the most affordable SUV in the automaker's lineup. All versions of this subcompact hauler feature a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that sends 137 horsepower to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission, with fuel economy rated at 28/32/30 mpg in city/highway/combined driving. Inside, the Trax provides just over 54 cubic-feet of total cargo space, which is impressive for its size.

There are five different versions of the Trax to choose from. Here are the details to help you decide which model could be right for you.

2025 Chevrolet Trax LS

Despite its low starting price of about $22,000), the entry-level Trax LS is packed with safety gear, including standard automated emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. That's in addition to equipment like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability, LED headlights, and 17-inch steel wheels.

Options abound to upgrade the Trax LS' basic character, including the Blackout package (black emblems and badges), the Driver Confidence package (rear parking assist and blind-spot monitoring), and the LS Convenience package (heated mirrors and remote start).

2025 Chevrolet Trax 1RS

The Chevrolet Trax 1RS adds some of the LS trim's optional gear to its features list, including remote start. It also upgrades to heated front seats and 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels. The biggest changes, however, are found on the outside, as the RS installs sporty-looking bumper treatments and heated mirrors with gloss-black caps, a black grille, and black Chevrolet logos.

The Trax 1RS has a starting price of about $24,000 and adds options such as the Driver Confidence package, which includes the same equipment as the LS, and a sunroof.

2025 Chevrolet Trax LT

The Trax LT almost matches the 1RS when it comes to price, at about $24,000, but trades sporty style points for equipment upgrades like an 11.0-inch infotainment system and a more striking set of LED running lights. It also sizes down to 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

The LT expands the Trax's available options. These include the LT Convenience package, which adds keyless entry plus heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated side mirrors; the Driver Confidence package, which adds adaptive cruise control and rear parking assist; and the Sunroof package, which adds a sunroof and wireless device charging. The Blackout package also makes a return.

2025 Chevrolet Trax 2RS

The Chevrolet Trax 2RS combines the slick design cues of the 1RS with many of the features available with the LT. For about $26,000, the 2RS includes an 11.0-inch touchscreen; keyless entry; heated front seats; and a heated, flat-bottom steering wheel. It also adds 19-inch wheels and tires and an 8.0-inch driver-information center screen.

The Trax RS carries over the Driver Confidence package and the Sunroof package from the LT.

2025 Chevrolet Trax Activ

The Activ trim is very similar to and priced quite close to the 2RS at around $26,000. Key changes include a switch to black 18-inch wheels, a rounded steering wheel, chrome accents to the grille, and a few different exterior color choices. The Activ includes all of the 2RS' standard equipment and maintains the same options packages.

All vehicle pricing includes MSRP plus destination charges (set at the time of publication), and will be rounded to the nearest thousand.
