Car Overview
Toyota GR Supra
In the 1980s, several agile yet reliable Japanese sports cars graced American roads, and the Toyota Supra was one of them. It debuted for the 1979 model year and culminated its run in the legendary fourth-generation A80. To the great delight of Supra fans, Toyota resurrected the nameplate in 2019. This time, a Toyota-designed two-seat coupe body fits over a BMW roadster platform. The engines, interior bits, and technology give the latest GR Supra a distinct Bavarian flavor. Regardless of its provenance, the GR Supra boasts a potent turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive, which many loyalists might say is all that matters.
