The Lincoln Navigator is a full-size luxury SUV offering plenty of room for up to eight passengers, significant towing capacity, and loads of luggage space. It was among the first luxury-brand SUVs when it went on sale in the 1990s and has served as Lincoln’s flagship model ever since. It shares plenty of features with the Ford Expedition, but its distinctively different styling and interiors make it clear the Navigator is the upscale, luxury model. The Navigator’s primary rival has always been the Cadillac Escalade. However, more recently, automakers such as BMW, Infiniti, and Mercedes-Benz are encroaching on the Lincoln’s size and capabilities with large luxury SUVs of their own.
