In their response to my review below, they act like this is the first they've heard of these issues. Why do I have to reach out to them? I did call in the past, and they never called back. They have all of my information, and are very aware of all of these issues dating back over a year. As they say, three strikes and you're out. I've given this dealership several chances to retain my business. I have two Kia's that I have had serviced regularly at Kia of Ypsi. I have a 2017 Kia Soul, and a 2025 Sportage. Both are great cars, and have given us little to no trouble at all. We really like our cars. Strike one: We had our 2017 Soul serviced in May of last year. Oil changed and tires rotated. This was on a Saturday, and when we got home we had a large puddle of oil under the car. I looked under the car and it was covered in oil, and the access port for the oil filter was missing. I immediately called the service department, and they told me to drive it back even though it was leaking oil. Kayron (service advisor) then proceeds to tell me that it was just a "sloppy oil change", (never got a straight answer about the oil leak) and he would have to get back with me first thing on Monday in regards to the missing access port. No call Monday, no call Tuesday, and I when I called Wednesday and ask for him they said he would call me back. No call back, so I finally talk to the service manager and he said next time I come in that he would give me the missing part (I ended up buying one on line). Strike two: My brand new 2025 Kia Sportage was ready for it's first oil change at 6,000 miles. Paid my bill, and drove home. Got out when I got home, and my brand new car is literally gushing out oil. I Immediately called the service manager Mike Zasadny, and of course he said bring it right back. Long story short, the tech who did the oil change misaligned the rubber gasket on the oil filter. Lost a quart of oil just in that short time too. Made sure this time that it wasn't a "sloppy oil change", and had Mike note it on my service record what actually happened. Strike three: Just recently took my Soul in for an oil change and tire rotation. I started marking my wheels recently because I don't trust that they are actually rotating my tires. I have Michelin Crossclimate tires that are directional. You can only rotate them front to back, and not side to side. When I got home and checked the tires they had been swapped side to side. When I emailed Samantha about what was going on, she informed me that two of the tires were backwards when I brought the car in. Come to find out, when they rotated my tires a year ago with the "sloppy oil change" they put two of my tires on backwards. My wife has driven several thousand miles with the tires like this. Why wouldn't they tell me my tires were backwards when they were servicing the car or when I checked out with the service advisor? They never mentioned it at all. You wonder why this dealership has so many complaints, and why they go through so many service managers. Mike Zasadny (who was very good) the service manager I dealt with a few weeks ago is already gone too. I'm going to have to drive further to get my car serviced now, but I don't trust this dealership's service department at all. I would definitely think twice before you take your Kia here. Pictures are attached to this review. UPDATE: See LaFontaine's response below. Generic response to a very serious issue. They gave me their general dealership number, basically the operator. No point of contact or who I should ask for. They have all of my information, and supposedly were aware of my situation, why don't they reach out to me??

The entire car buying experience was a dream! In fact, we bought two cars at once.Our professional and knowledgeable salesman, Garrett Golec, took the time to listen understand our car buying needs first and then presented a number of different models that fit our lifestyle and budget. After finding us the right model, Garrett explained the different trim levels and what each included. Obviously, we went with the top of the line. We even added in the 5 in 1 protection, which will give us peace of mind for any unexpected surprises. It gets even better! Lafontaine Kia gave us more than we were expecting on our trade-in therefore we-needed no money out-of-pocket! Garrett processed all of the paperwork electronically ahead of schedule, had the cars prepped and fueled prior to our arrival. Once arriving at the dealership, Garrett met us in the parking lot and explained all of the cars features and connected our Kia access app to our phones. We concluded our car buying experience with a tour of the huge dealership from sales to service. It’s obvious that Garrett Golec is proud to be a member of the Lafontaine Kia sales team and such a great organization! It’s really true that La Fontaine treats you like family and yes, we got the family deal!

Had the pleasure of working with kam krettlen and he’s the best! He got me exactly what I wanted and was very knowledgeable about the car and took the time to explain all the features to me. I highly recommend getting a car through him. I love my new car and haven’t had any problems with it
