“Steve, we are never going to understand why you did an about face and refused to sell us the car that you had put aside for us and even put a sign with our name on it on the dashboard. We were returning customers because we had a good experience buying from you before. We had communicated with you about that car for days and you seemed just as excited to sell it to us as we were to buy it. But for some reason during the deal everything changed and you and the owner began to try and sell us on a new car, which we had no interest in. We were given several different reasons why we could not purchase the car we wanted that day. I have no idea if any of them were true, but I know that at least one reason was a lie because I checked with another dealer. You also did a hard inquiry on my credit when you assured me that you would not. Very, very disappointed….we did end up purchasing from another dealer. Perhaps one day we’ll know what happened.”
