“Third purchase from CarMax in a little over two years. If you have your ducks in a row ( new license plate or keeping old, title, registration, proof of insurance) it is about a seamless process as you can get. No pressure from sales staff for add ons or finding hidden fees. My last purchase was completed in a little over two hours with the longest portion being the documents and signatures. Transfer fees are non-refundable so I waited for a vehicle to show up I was interested in that had a transfer fee I was comfortable with and paid to have it transferred to the nearest CarMax. Did I save a bunch of money? Better than a dealer but not crazy amounts on the vehicles I bought. Was it worth going to CarMax areas of a dealer? Unless you are wanting a brand new car I would highly recommend CarMax.”

“This place offered to buy my car for $3,700. When I brought it in, they cited body damage (cosmetic on quarter panel) and claimed engine knocking. They offered me only $600, and I wasted a drive in and appt. This is classic bait and switch when they say new price $600, clean up the car and sell for $8,000. Shame on you Carmax.
