“Absolutely unacceptable experience with the Hiley service department. Before even coming in, I called to confirm they were open because I didn’t want to drive all the way there in snow and ice if they couldn’t take my car. I was told they were open, so I made the trip. When I arrived, the hill leading down to the service bay was completely iced over and extremely unsafe. I told them I did not feel comfortable driving my vehicle down because of the conditions. Instead of taking that seriously or offering a safe alternative, I was still expected to get the car to the bay. It was so dangerous that I literally had to slide down the hill on my backside just to hand them the key, then climb back up using tiny rocks for traction. That alone should tell you how unsafe it was. No one seemed concerned, and there was no sense of urgency about the situation. After all of that, I was told they’d “get to it whenever the ice melts.” So I drove there in hazardous conditions after confirming they were open, risked my safety just to check the car in, and then got brushed off. Customer safety should be the bare minimum. The lack of professionalism, planning, and concern here was honestly shocking.”
