âWhen the human aspect goes out the windowâŚstory time:
I purchased my car from Mercedes-Benz of Wesley Chapel about 2.5 years ago I had my car shipped from CA and my sales guy Ray treated me very well.
Fast forward 2025 I referred my husband to this same sales guy ray we saw a car got a report on the car and had some conversation about CPO warranty on the car which me and my husband were told yes. The car was in great condition and backed by mercedes S560 you donât buy this kind of car expecting every thing to fall apart in 5 months. This car had about 30k miles and we were told it had been inspected no reason to think otherwise but I could not have been more wrong and the decision to take my salesman word for it would be an expensive price to pay.
In nearly 6 months this great car has been nothing but issues on top of issues, let me list them:
1. Total brakes needed front and rear ( how is this even possible after such a short time with this vehicle and less than 2000 miles driven (itâs because the car wasnât inspected metal on metal)
2. The rims specialty ones cracked we later learned that this crack was hidden on the inside on the tire and because of the rust it was there for quite sometime thanks to a trusted mechanic ( I have pictures). Whoever had this car before us cut a zip tie to place the low profile rim therefore compromising the tire sensor on the car. Shortly after the rim cracked the mechanic at an entire different dealership informed us of the thread on these tires from the inside being eaten away by the rims (we had no clue). Putting our lives in jeopardy most importantly my kids lives means I wonât be sparing anyone at this dealership with this review (oh itâs going everywhere).
We ended up purchasing 4 brand new tires and 4 brand new AMG rims for this car in a 5 month time span.
3. The repair bills just keep getting better! Shortly after that the car battery is totally up for replacement we now need to purchase a new one. We havenât driven this car more than 30 miles away from our house. At this point we realized we purchased a car full of issues backed by lies and deceit from our trusted salesman.
4. Lastly, and most importantly the trunk randomly stops closing we canât figure out whatâs going on considering we just spent a near fortune on everything else. You guessed it the trunk latch is bad and the cost of that would be 1400.00. After everything weâve been through with this car we asked Paul Cottrell in the service department to assist us by covering this as we had already replaced our front brakes for about 1200.00 (I have the receipt). Paul informed me that he would look into this but didnât think it could be done. After consistent pushback being met with thereâs not a warranty for that or better yet if you according to Paul âGet your rear brakes, and car battery replaced with us, then we will cover the latchâ. The issue I have with this is that Paul knew that a warranty was in place but wanted to find another way to force more money out of us! A warranty through Veritas was uncovered after I started asking for documents on this car regarding warranty information(3 days), all of a sudden BAMâa warranty(who knewâI did). Asking for 200.00 on a warrantied item is appallingâAfter all the repairs?! Remember this Paul Karma you put out in the universe will travel back to you. Treat people how you want to be TREATED!!!
When I stop trusting itâs forever not for a couple weeks and whatâs been done here is all the reason Iâm exposing all of you! This was our second car purchase and after this last ordeal NEVER AGAIN!!!
Total cost thanks to Ray and Mercedes-Benz service department and whom ever else was Involved in so-called inspecting this car you FAILED!
It has been very eye opening and while this has been more than we could have ever imagined we have been uplifting each other and thanking GOD for protecting us in what was once a death trap we tirelessly repaired.

I had a fantastic experience at Mercedes-Benz of Wesley Chapel! The entire process was wonderful, quick, and efficient from start to finish. Ali B in Sales was absolutely amazingâknowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. âThis was the 1st time my wife & I were purchasing a used car (2021 BMW M440i) in over 30 years. We typically buy new cars, but my wife fell in love with the color of this particular convertible.
We were anticipating a âless thanâ experience because we were looking at a used car, but the way we were treated by our salesperson Ali - you would have thought we were buying the most expensive new car on the lot. He was fantastic and extremely pleasant to work with. The car had some paint issues on the front bumper and all four rims had road rash, but Ali was able to convince his manager to have the dealership do the necessary repairs the following day for free. Thanks Ali - you da man !!
Typically, working with any car dealershipâs finance dept. is usually a nightmare, but again we were pleasantly surprised by our interaction with Sam in finance. No high pressure pitch for services we didnât need or want. We were able to pick from a customized menu of service plans that will hopefully make buying this used car as safe & reliable as a new one. Job well done Sam.
We dropped the car off the next day at the service dept. to have the paint issues resolved. Our service consultant Chris let us know it would be a few days to get the paint & rim issues resolved. He called us on the day weâre supposed to pick up the car to let us know that it wasnât going to be ready until the following day. The next day he promptly called us to come pickup the car as promised.
The quality of the repair work and the constant communication from Chris to keep us in the loop about the status of the car was outstanding.
To sum things up, this was one of the best car buying experiences that we have had. We have worked with so many dealerships over the years and this place is now our new #1.â
