“Janice took absolutely amazing care of us! We last minute saw a great deal and decided to buy it. They were so busy, but she juggled us and another customer at the same time and took amazing care of both of us! She answered all our questions, helped us figure out what we needed for our financing, and even let me borrow her phone charger for a few minutes so I could finish things on my phone. I would absolutely come back to buy another car from Janice! Highest accolades for Janice!”

“Over the past 4–5 years, I purchased three vehicles from CarMax and had nothing but great buying experiences. Because of that consistency, I truly believed I’d never need to shop at another dealership. That changed with my most recent—and final—purchase. I travel for work, and every vehicle I’ve ever bought from CarMax has been purchased out of state, which has never been an issue. The process has always been straightforward: return to my home state, register the vehicle, and pay the appropriate taxes and fees. This time, I was working longer than expected in the purchase state and didn’t make it back home to complete registration until 45 days after purchase. Instead of communication or assistance, CarMax attempted repossession for an alleged “breach of contract due to failure to register in a timely manner.” Let me be clear: • My payments were not late • The vehicle was insured • There was no financial default Despite that, CarMax chose a path that put my credit, finances, and personal safety at risk—all over a registration timing issue, not a failure to pay. Ironically, I had already registered the vehicle before I was even notified of the repossession attempt. While the situation was eventually addressed, the damage was done. The experience showed me just how quickly CarMax is willing to turn on loyal, repeat customers. I never imagined I’d be writing this review after years of positive experiences, but buyers—especially those who travel for work or purchase out of state—should be aware. CarMax is not nearly as customer-friendly as they appear once an issue arises. Proceed with caution.”

“Selling our truck to CarMax was fast and easy! We got notably more for our truck at CarMax than the trade amount several car dealership sales weasels had offered us. We took the online advice, and submitted all needed documents, etc online, ahead of time. When we arrived at the appointed time, we were greeted by the charming and efficient Keesha. She had our info folder waiting. She worked fast! In minutes, she pulled in our truck for inspection, removed our old license plate, and handed it to us in a cool CarMax tote bag. Then she breezed through the paperwork and signing, keeping us informed. She was so friendly and professional! We had check-in-hand and were out the door in less than an hour! Many thanks to Keesha and the efficient CarMax system!”

“The CarMax process was smooth and stress free. My salesman was professional and knowledgeable. The vehicle I chose was better than i anticipated. A subsequent inspection passed with flying colors. “What a terrific experience! From the moment I arrived for my scheduled appointment I was pleasantly greeted by Emanuel Cain. The facility was clean, bright and very comfortable. I had a number of questions and both Emanuel and the Cross-Functional Store Manager, Blake Evans, were happy to answer them all. Using the CarMax website prior to my arrival, I knew exactly what I needed to bring so I was fully prepared to sell my vehicle to CarMax. During the entire process I was treated with respect, courtesy and honesty. I definitely recommend CarMax as an outstanding place to sell your vehicle.”
