“I spent $63,000 on a brand-new Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, and it has been an absolute nightmare. For that kind of money, I could have bought a BMW, but I chose this for the seven seats. That was a massive mistake.
Within days, I found glaring manufacturing defects: visible panel gaps on the driver-side door and the rear right door. More importantly, the car is a safety hazard. If you let go of the steering wheel at 40 mph, it veers left immediately. At highway speeds (80 mph+), the vehicle is completely unstable and feels dangerous.
The "service" at C & S Hyundai is a joke. They brushed me off, telling me to just "fix it under warranty." Why should I have to claim warranty on a brand-new car with obvious manufacturing defects? They forced me to handle the mess myself by contacting Hyundai corporate, who hasn't replied to a single email or picked up the phone in a month.
To make matters worse, I took it to a Kia dealer in Rochester, MN, for a valuation, and they quoted the market value at only $41,000. That Kia dealer also told me that if they sold a car with these issues, they would handle the case with the manufacturer themselves rather than making the customer do it.
C & S Hyundai was quick to praise this car to take my $63k, but they’ve completely abandoned me now that there’s a problem. They sell defective cars and leave the customer stranded. Stay away.”

“I would NOT recommend buying a used car here. Or a new one. You could drive to Des Moines and save thousands. I bought a used car from C & S and it been nothing but a headache. Tires were bald. My fault for not noticing this. But they were extra clean. So the dealership new they were bad and just clean d then up rather than replacing the tires with ones that were safe for the road. And that's the tip of the iceberg for the issues. I've had. Avoid buying from here at all costs. It could ruin some people.”

“We drove an hour to this dealership to purchase a specific car. We were told the car was still available the evening before our morning appointment so we weren’t wasting our time and a drive. Applied for financing and had it all ready to go. Asked for all the pricing on the car ahead of time, had the pricing provided in writing, all set. Following morning we show up for our appointment and find out the car sold. Is what it is, salesman showed us a similar car different interior. Went to purchase the car we wanted which would be days of a wait, but they’d drive it to our home, and was ready to pay based on the quote and exact pricing we were provided but now suddenly the cost is going to be $3,000-$4,000 MORE than what they told us initially. Walked away from the sale because we felt manipulated and deceived. Felt like they were trying to sell on their terms and provided false information because they wanted to get us in the door to sell their loan and talk us out of our pre-approved loan with Chase. Salesman was kind but overall manipulative sales tactics. Can’t trust this place unfortunately.”

“My husband and myself worked with Scott. We bought two vehicles within a couple weeks of each other. They understood what we wanted and got us in and out very quickly. They also are very good about corresponding through email.”

“I recently purchased a Subaru Crosstrek Sport trim from C&S, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The entire process was smooth and hassle-free, thanks to Scott Thurn, who guided me from my initial inquiry all the way through to the final selection. He made everything simple and stress-free, which was a huge help since I had just arrived in the U.S. My wife and I appreciated his support so much that we decided to name our Crosstrek “Scotty” in his honor! Highly recommend Scott and the team at C&S for anyone looking for a great car-buying experience.”
