“I had a very disappointing experience with the service department at Giant Chevrolet Cadillac in Visalia. I dropped off my 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe with only 27,000 miles at 8:00 AM because it was making a squeaking noise. I explained the issue clearly to AJ when I checked in and even showed him a video of the sound. I told him the noise happens randomly and not all the time. He told me they would run a diagnostic in about 30 minutes and that Isaiah would be assisting me. After hearing nothing for over six hours, I finally called the service department myself at 2:30 PM and spoke with Isaiah. He apologized and admitted that the technicians had not even looked at my vehicle yet. My car had been sitting there all day with no inspection. At 3:10 PM I received a call saying they found rear brake pads and a sensor making the noise and that my front brakes were at 3mm. Based on that information I agreed to the repairs. Then at 5:00 PM I called again to check if my vehicle was ready and was suddenly told that the technician had now “found” that the rear brakes were causing the squeak. This raised serious concerns because the rear brakes should have been evaluated during the original diagnostic. The explanations kept changing, which made it feel like a proper diagnostic was never performed and that my vehicle was not thoroughly inspected before recommending repairs. I also had to repeatedly call just to get updates. If I had not called, it appears nothing would have been done. When I asked to speak with a manager about my concerns, I was told no manager was available. That is unacceptable when a customer has legitimate concerns about service quality. I left this experience feeling frustrated, dismissed, and taken advantage of. Customers deserve transparency, proper diagnostics, and clear communication when trusting a dealership with their vehicle. Manager called and made up for the mistake.”
