“Really had a great experience with this dealership. Rob Jones was great. Everything went smoothly. Rob had all the paperwork ready to go. He explained everything and the whole process was quick and done within a hour.”

“Rob was the salesman who sold me this car. He is a nice guy, but apparently he is not a mechanic and may not have been responsible for what happened. Since he dealt with me directly, however, I still hold him accountable for the situation. The paperwork process was easy, and he even picked us up from Enterprise, which was great—but things took a turn for the worse afterward. Here is my honest review of this dealership:
I bought a Ford Edge for just over $11K (cash), including fees and taxes. He told me they had won the car at an auction and that it was a great vehicle. After a week of driving, the check engine light came on, and shortly after, the car died and wouldn’t start. I initially assumed the battery might be dead. I removed it and took it to AutoZone, where they told me it was 80% good. The AutoZone employee suggested scanning the engine, since the symptoms sounded like a deeper mechanical issue.
I bought an inexpensive engine scanner, scanned the vehicle, and found major problems. The Carfax report showed no issues and a good service history. However, I later discovered that the check engine light and other warning codes had been cleared on the very day I picked up the car (October 29, 2025; see attached picture). Apparently, someone scanned the engine twice that day, saw the mechanical issue codes, and chose to clear them. This meant the codes would not reappear immediately, but the record of the scans and cleared codes remained stored in the car’s computer system—which became visible when I ran my own scan. I had the car towed to an automotive care center in Suffolk. A few days later, they informed me the engine was bad and needed to be replaced. A used engine would cost around $8K, with $5K required upfront to order it, which I declined. I then had the car towed back home. I left a some what negative review on their because I was not happy with their lies.
When I went to pick up my tags from Robe, he was upset and repeatedly insisted he didn’t know about the issues, despite previously assuring me over the phone that the car and engine were in good conditions. However, the diagnostic scanner doesn’t lie. He also claimed he didn’t know who erased the codes, didn’t know how to clear engine codes, and again stated that he is not a mechanic. He offered to help by having a friend or someone look at the car, but he was clearly angry that I had left a negative review and felt accused. I told him I would remove my review if he helped me fix the car. What made the situation even more frustrating was how much he downplayed the seriousness of selling a defective vehicle, especially one that may have been knowingly sold in that condition. It has now been over a week with no follow-up, so I assume he has no intention of helping.
While it may be illegal to sell a car with a known defective engine and could potentially cost a business significantly if pursued legally, I do not plan to take legal action. Instead, I am leaving this review to warn others: do not buy from this place. Always consider purchasing from a reputable, larger dealership - they typically have service departments and mechanics available if issues arise. Trust no one blindly.
I strongly recommend buying an engine scanner if you are shopping for a used car. I used the FIXD scanner, which works with most smartphones. Always scan the engine before purchasing a vehicle. Understand what you are buying and why the price might be lower than expected, salespeople may not always disclose the full truth. Also, be cautious with Carfax reports; they don’t always reveal everything. I wish I had purchased an engine scanner sooner.
Finally, don’t leave a review immediately after buying a vehicle. I was asked to leave a review if I was satisfied, which I did at the time because I was excited. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for my positive impression to disappear. Drive the car for a while before writing a review. And understand that if you encounter mechanical issues, the likelihood of this dealership helping you is extremely low—they will not help you.”

“If there was a ZERO stars option, that is what I would give them! My nephew purchased an Audi SUV from them about 2 months ago. It was a hazardous lemon that caught on fire and burned up. Thank God that he was able to get out without injury. You would think Auto Corp would try to compensate us in some type of way, whether the car was "as is / no warranty" or not! If a car lasted 7 days, you know it was no good to begin with!!! We gave him $5,000 down payment. So now we're out of money and he's out of a car and had to go somewhere else to purchase one. Just look out because karma is what it is! Hopefully you will lose business until you stop robbing your customers, THIEVES!!!
The owner is a LIAR! The insurance company paid the maximum amount that they were going to pay, as well as the gap insurance, and there was still a few hundred dollars balance left for my nephew to pay. I don't give a care whether I signed the contract or not, you were happy to run my debit card for $3,000! You still did not give the contract signer (my nephew) any money back or any other type of compensation! There's nothing strange about this deal other than the fact that you took his $2,000 and my $3,000 and he still owes a balance to gap insurance. He is on disability and you knew his financial situation. We got ripped off and some of your other customers have too.”

“Rob is a great salesman! He provided prompt communication about the vehicle I was interested in and stayed past business hours when I was ready to purchase. I did notice the vehicle computer said the battery was low when I test drove and my husband asked if there were any known issues with the battery and we were told no. We ended up having to buy a new battery the day after purchasing but I love my new to me 2013 BMW 328i and will definitely check out United Auto if I am looking to buy again in the future!”
