“I brought my 2025 Forester in for the gas tank gasket recall. I experienced the reason why the recall was done, later in the day when I went to fill up. As soon as I started to pump gas, the pump would shut off. After 10 times of resetting, I quit. The gas mileage display registered 460 miles and not 510, as it did 3 weeks ago and dashboard linear display showed 1 or 2 more ticks to full. I discussed this with gas station manager and he told me to pull the nozzle out slightly. Then gas spilled out of the tank. I tried calling general service number and then my service tech to question/report this fix or not fix. I was not able to speak with anyone. BTW, the staff were all friendly and attentive during my service.”
