I am sharing my experience in a factual and professional manner. My 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 was brought to Tom’s Volkswagen of Union for repeated issues involving: SOS / emergency communication system malfunction App connectivity failure Brake noise later determined to involve the brake booster During one visit, the brake noise was attributed to “cold weather.” I was told lubrication was the only action possible and that no mechanical issue was present. However, the vehicle remained in Tom’s Volkswagen of Union’s possession for over 30 consecutive days during a later repair attempt. Despite that extended time, the vehicle was not properly repaired. The communication module was replaced, yet the SOS system remained inoperative. At one point, the vehicle was released to me as “ready,” but the original issues persisted and additional error messages appeared. After transferring the vehicle to another authorized Volkswagen dealer, further inspection revealed that the brake booster required re-securing — raising concerns about the prior diagnosis and prolonged retention of the vehicle without resolution. As of today: The vehicle has accumulated more than 40 days out of service across repair attempts. It is currently at a third authorized Volkswagen dealer. The SOS system remains inoperative. Connectivity issues persist. This review is not emotional — it is a factual account of multiple repair attempts, extended downtime, and unresolved safety-related concerns. When a vehicle remains out of service for over six weeks across authorized dealerships, it is reasonable for a consumer to expect accurate diagnostics, thorough repair verification, and clear communication. I hope this encourages improved technical evaluation and stronger quality control for future customers.

I had an amazing experience with Tom’s VW of Union thanks to Luis and Mike. Both of them were fantastic to work with—professional, honest, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. We handled the entire deal over the phone, which made everything easy and stress-free, and they even delivered my car right to me. I’m beyond excited about my new Tiguan! I’d been considering buying a new car, so I randomly stopped by Tom’s VW on the way home the other day. Really impressed with the sales rep Suhaib. Knowledgeable, easy to chat with. Matched me with an Atlas Cross Sport at a good price. No hassling, great car and a good experience 🙂
