I was having a great buying experience with the sales guy (Phil). He was super knowledgeable about all different types of vehicles and gave me "genuine" and positive energy. Plus, he wasn't trying to oversell me with nonsensical charges and additional fees. We were able to come to a fair and equitable agreement (so I thought 🙄) until the sales manager (Peter) got involved with the transaction. Now I'm being told small things that were going to be taken care of were no longer part of the deal 😡!! Basically, the vehicle is now to be sold as is, no room for negotiation. Phil the sales guy was going back and forth with his manager, but to no avail. All this happened right before the last snow storm we had, so I had time to think about how I was being treated. It also gave me an opportunity to look at a couple other vehicle options I was considering. Northwest Hills in Torrington, CT definitely had the better vehicle with the higher trim, but the sales manager (Peter) made me feel like he really wasn't interested earning in my business. I ended up purchasing the same vehicle with a little higher mileage and lower trim package, but the sales manager at the other dealership worked with me and made me feel like he really wanted my business. So long story short, if you're looking for a vehicle at Northwest Hills in Torrington, ask for Phil. He'll work with you and get you the best deal possible!! But be ready to be nickel and dimed by the sales manager Peter, who basically killed the sale I was trying to make.

From the moment I expressed interest in buying a new car, Phil Musmacker was attentive yet never overbearing. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and was incredibly knowledgeable about his product. What stood out most was that I never once felt pressured to make a purchase — Phil created a relaxed, honest environment that made me feel completely comfortable throughout the process. His professionalism and genuine approach made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. Not only did I want to buy a car from him, but I also look forward to doing business with him again in the future. Highly recommend working with Phil!

Overall, very easy and smooth process. Working with Rob was straight forward everything was laid out and easy to understand. He answered any questions we had and made the process smooth. Would have gave 5 stars but there are a couple light scratches on the rear corner that he said would be able to be buffed out before pick-up and they hadn't been touched. (Update dealership had immediately reached out and had my wife schedule a time to come in and have the scratches buffed out, apologized for missing it before pickup) Would buy from here again!

My experience at Northwest Hills Chevrolet was exceptional. I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect, and accommodations for my special needs were made willingly, and in some cases, without my even needing to ask. My salesman, Phil Musmacker, made everything incredibly easy for me throughout the entire process (honorable mention goes to Brendan Elrick, who followed up on my initial request for info on the Equinox EV, and connected me with Phil). In addition, I never found any reason to question the pricing on the purchase order; everything was straightforward and exactly as I had been told, which is incredible considering my previous experiences with dealerships, where I had to fight to keep extras from being added to my order. Truly remarkable! I've already recommended Northwest Hills Chevy to a couple of friends! Thank you for a most wonderful experience (and I also really love my car)!

Greetings everyone, I would like to take this opportunity to share my recent experience with Torrington Chevrolet dealership. I recently purchased a 2023 GMC Sierra from them, and the salesman was truly exceptional. I highly recommend his services as he assisted me with every aspect of the purchase. Thank you! However, shifting the focus to the service department, after driving a few thousand miles, I noticed that my oil levels were depleting rapidly and there was an echoing sound coming from my microphone. Despite multiple visits to the service center, they were unable to resolve the microphone issue. I requested a brake change due to some lines on the brake rotors that I had not noticed during the initial purchase. Although they fixed it under warranty, it led to further complications as they had assembled the brake system on the left rear without any bolts. I continued to use my car, hearing strange noises whenever I hit a bump or pothole, unaware of the underlying issue. Upon inspecting my car, I discovered the missing bolts in the brake caliper. I promptly returned to the dealership, and they rectified the error the following day. As for the oil issue, they conducted tests every 1,000 miles, but sometimes only added half a quart. Upon checking the oil levels myself, I found it to be near the bottom line on the dipstick. I brought this to their attention, and they added the necessary half-quart. Furthermore, I contacted GM regarding the installation fee I paid for my TPM sensors on the trailer. I was informed that the $19.50 fee was applicable only if the wheels were brought in separately. Despite my friend receiving a different rate previously, the manager explained that they no longer offered the same service due to the time constraints it posed on their employees. I took my vehicle to another dealership, and they efficiently resolved the microphone problem and completed all repairs within a day. It seems like this task was too challenging for the previous service provider.
