“I went to this place looking to buy a car. Yesterday, I went to test drive it, and today I went to pick it up and get it inspected by a mechanic. The manager told me that if I called by 3:30, the car was mine, and if not, someone else was coming to take a look at it. I get to the mechanic, everything looks good, so I call around 3:00 and he informs me that he sold it to someone else — right after I paid $100 to get it inspected. Frustrating. Then he tells me the only way the car will be mine is if I pay around $23,000 for a car that was listed at $16,950… not happening, especially since the car still needed about $1,000 worth of tune-ups. Luckily, the manager refunded me the $100 I spent, but it’s still really disappointing how they pulled the sale out from under me just because the other people came with the money first when he SAID that car was mine if I called before 3:30. After the mechanic visit, I was on my way to the bank to get a check. The people who work there were very nice, but it’s clear their focus is on the money and not on doing what’s right. So so disappointed.”
