“Ok, so how many times do you leave a car dealership an think, "That was fun!"? Well that was my experience with James Hendon, Used Car Manager, at AutoNation Ford in St. Pete. I was wanting to sell my pristine Jeep Wrangler outright before heading to Texas. I visited 3 other major dealerships who all profess to pay 'top dollar' for your used cars. Well, as expected, they were all a joke and offered insulting money for the car. With James it was different from our first phone call. He was direct and down to earth right off the bat. I decided to make the longer drive to his dealership for an evaluation. James inspected the car and didn't make up silly reasons why it wasn't worth much. His first offer was reasonable and not insulting, but still not enough. We worked through the process in a reasonable, friendly and respectful fashion and came to a number that we were both 'happy' with. All the while we chatted, had fun, and enjoyed being around a bunch of true car guys. If you want a fair value for your car with no BS, I would 100% recommend you contact James.
