“While traveling from Texas to Ohio during the recent Polar Vortex, we had an issue with our DEF tank. A dealer in Blue Springs, MO, had no compassion for travelers on a time schedule and said it would be days to diagnose. We pushed ahead in the bitter cold and ended up in Sidney. OH at Chesrown Ford. I had called the day before, described the issue and the Service Advisor, Byron, was very helpful. The following day, we showed up at the dealership at 7am. Service Advisor Heather was expecting me as she had been briefed by her colleague about our issue. Less than an hour later, we were back on the road having had the issue checked out. In the end the float in the sending unit of our DEF tank had frozen from the cold weather , but it was not an issue that prevented us from continuing our journey.
