“Autoguard Service Contract Nightmare, Five years and still going:
I purchased an Autoguard Plus contract on March 5, 2020 for my 2017 Honda CR-V through David Pasula, Finance Manager, who was employed by Schaumburg Honda at the time. I paid $1,976.00 for a 10 year / 100,000 mile service contract with a cashier’s check, which was posted on March 6, 2020. Jump ahead 5 years later to September 30, 2025 when another Honda dealer in South Carolina tried to access my contract to confirm work they had completed would be covered. They were told by Autoguard they could not locate the contract number in their system. The service manager requested that I call Autoguard to check if they had my contract. I spoke with customer service and they confirmed they could not find my contract. I told them I have the customer copy of the cashier’s check as proof of payment from 5 years earlier, they said to speak directly with the dealership that wrote the contract. I spoke with Bob Sheaffer, Finance dept for Schaumburg Honda on September 30th and asked to see if he could find my Autoguard contract in their system. He located the written contract but was unable to find it in their system. He then requested proof of payment, we emailed him and the General Manager, Matt Ashford on Sept 30th with the customer copy of the cashier’s check and a copy of the Autoguard Service Contract.
October 9th: I called Bob because we had not heard anything, he stated my GM was still working on this and did not have an update.
October 14th: A follow up email was sent to Bob Sheaffer and Matt Ashford with no response received
October 17th: Voice message left with Matt Ashford with no return call
October 20th: Received a call from Mike Pastuchk, Finance dept with Schaumburg Honda, he told us the GM stated he would be handling this and Bob Sheaffer was no longer involved. He also said they would like to cancel the old contract and offer a new 5 year 60,000 mile Autoguard Service contract or full reimbursement of the $1,976.00 paid in 2020. They also agreed to reimburse me for the repairs on my car that should have been covered by the original contract. I agreed to accept the 5 yr / 60K mile contract and the reimbursement check for repairs. I was told the reimbursement check would be sent out today. I told them to send FedEx for traceability, the USPS was not trustworthy.
October 20th: Mike was to send out the new contract for signature by email. When I received it, there was nothing attached in their system for me to sign.
October 21st: Received attachments on line for signature, was able to sign the contract that evening
October 24th: Texted Mike requesting copies of the executed copy of the contract, nothing had been received.
October 27th: I finally received a copy of the executed copy of the Autoguard Service Contract, but I still had not received the reimbursement check.
November 6th: Mike Pastuchk was sent a text telling him we have not received word the check had been sent, we needed it now to cover the service work that had been completed, we received no response
November 8th: A follow up text was sent to Mike Pastuchk to see who else we could contact to follow up on the reimbursement check. He responded he would check the status on Monday and respond back
November 10th: We received a call from Mike Pastuchk telling me a check had been sent on October 29th, I told Mike I wanted this to be sent by FedEx, it had been sent through USPS and was never delivered. Mike P said they would need to cancel the first check and would cut a second check once that was confirmed and would be shipped by FedEx.
November 12th: Followed up on check again, no response
November 14th: Sent text message to Mike P stating we have left two voice messages, no response received. We let Mike know through a text that my father lived locally and would stop in to pick up the reimbursment check for repairs. We finally received the check for the repairs. But no finalized Autoguard Contract coverage, $1,976.00 in limbo”

“Amazing experience such a great team there, they made sure to meet my needs even simply asking if we would like snacks and water. Emmanuel was great we went on a test drive and he was there along the whole process so helpful, I happily drove off with my NEW 2026 Honda Civic Sport. Thank you to Emmanuel and the whole Schaumburg Honda crew!!”

“I had a great experience with buying a car from Honda Schamburg thanks to Travell! He was very knowledgeable and made the process stress free. He was honest and never made me feel pressured to stray away from what I wanted or tried to upsell! He took the time to go over all of the features of the car and explained the difference between the different trims on the CRV which helped make the decision from purchasing the EX to the EXL and I couldn't be more satisfied. I would highly recommend asking for him when you stop by!”

“My daughter purchased her first car this weekend and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Our sales representative, Jesse Flores, was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being pushy. He took the time to understand my daughter’s needs and helped her find the perfect vehicle within her budget.
Jesse went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smooth and transparent. He made her feel comfortable and confident with her decision. He exceeded our expectations with his professionalism. I highly recommend the dealership and Jesse to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable car buying experience!”

“Awful service department.
None of the reports are accurate.
Every time I bring my car, My alignment is off when I leave and I have to come back.
They also try to gaslight you to make you think that you’re crazy and they didn’t do anything wrong knowing that they do know what they did Claiming also that when they replace a part and another part breaks.
The one good thing about it is their general manager being polite over the phone and trying whatever he can obviously he doesn’t know much about service department.
First report says that my battery is good then my steering wheel locks and my car won’t start after they messed with it.
They replaced the battery and told me that I had bad battery even though their first report shows my battery was good.
second report, shows that my brakes are perfectly fine knowing that I did not change any brakes and my car is shaking because of something they did to it.”
