“I called ahead to book an appointment for a test drive of a pre-owned vehicle. I arrived at the scheduled time and met with my sales contact, Philip. The car was not ready. He retrieved the car from the back lot and informed me that it had minimal gas in the tank, which would limit the duration of my test drive. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicle. The car was wonderful! It drove great. After a short test drive, I told him that it was my top choice. But to make a final decision, I needed more time with it and some time to test-drive a few more cars that interested me. During our exchange, I told him that I wasn't interested in purchasing the door protection treatment and theft tracking add-ons for $1900+. He deflected my question and expressed no desire to accommodate my request. I then drove away questioning if this dealership puts sales ahead of its customers.”
