“I purchased a certified used Lexus here in January of 2026. The sales staff was courteous in showing us several avaliable cars in our range. I might have enjoyed a little more advice, nevertheless, we made our decision. The deal was effortless and financing was an easy, albeit lengthy process. Both of the gentlemen we worked with are very professional. We love the car, and recommend this dealership without hesitation.”

“The customer service at San Diego Lexus was at a level of excellence I have never experienced. From the beginning San Diego Lexus refused to charge a markup adjustment or dealer package or appearance protection. They were fair and transparent with their policy of not overcharging their customers. The communication between the salesperson Mikhael and I was outstanding. Every question was answered, every step along the way was very well detailed through text and phone calls. Even after I purchased my vehicle I received a few text messages making sure everything was okay with my new vehicle. I will forever be a Lexus owner but any future vehicles will absolutely be purchased at San Diego Lexus.”

“My trust in car dealerships is basically zero. I spoke with around 20 dealerships across Southern California while looking for a GX550, and almost all of them had absurd markups or tried to force unnecessary dealer add-ons. Lexus San Diego was different. I worked with Mikhael, who was straightforward and transparent from the first phone call through signing the paperwork. The price and process were exactly what he said they would be—no games. I usually tell people not to ask for dealership recommendations and to call everyone instead, because being nice often gets you a worse deal. That said, I would 100% recommend Mikhael. Daniel in finance was also great to work with. I didn’t work directly with Han Chen, but I spent some a good amount of time next to his desk, to say the least, and he was awesome. Overall, the dealership was a breath of fresh air. Every interaction I had was positive, which is rare in this industry.”

“I intend to recommend this place to friends buying lexuses, but I subtract one star for cleverly inflating their rating and one star for the finance manager, Danny Swain, having extreme difficulty taking no for an answer. The review trick goes like this: they send a text asking if you’d recommend their dealership. If you click “yes” they link you to google/dealer rater. If you click “no” they offer a big feedback form with a teensy tiny link below. As the actual dealership, like I said, it’s pretty good. They seem to have a few models at any given time that cut deep under MSRP. When we went the range was ostensibly 8-9k off, but they add on ~$1000 of dealer installations. These included tinting, which we wanted, so it worked out for us. If they don’t have what you want, their intense discounts are a good negotiating leverage with other lexus dealerships in the region. So, again, I recommend them. We worked with Art, and he was both direct and laid back. At no point did he seem to be trying to influence our decision. As I mentioned, the same could not be said for the finance manager Danny Swain. Allegedly the nicest finance manager in San Diego, he seemed pigheadedly interested in us getting $6000 of extra warranties despite him having “taken the profit out of them”. A multiple cordial “no”s did not suffice, neither did explaining my preference to rely on the consensus of GPT-Thinking or Claude. Oddly, accepting on the grounds that it would less time to email him a cancellation than to persuade him to stop pushing the damn thing and let us move on with our purchase immediately moved things on. So, if you find yourself in my situation, maybe try that? The other complaint was that once we bought the car, we couldn’t get ahold of anybody who could tell us how to pay. My wife wound up stressed, trying to get an unnecessary cashiers check out of Chase shortly before closing because nobody bothered to text us back or pick up their line. Still, the price was great, and our salesperson was fine, so I recommend this dealership nonetheless.”
