I’ve now taken my car in for an oil changes and inspections three times. I've only been to one other Chevy service center in San Diego - Courtesy Chevrolet (where I purchased my vehicle and before COVID their maintenance department was excellent but now and I refuse to go back). It took me months to consider going to another Chevy dealership (after a terrible experience in Broomfield, CO at another Chevy dealer) but I'm glad I gave KM Chevy a chance. The most recent service person I worked with, Chris H. was polite and respectful, thorough, helpful, and funny. He asked questions and waited for responses and gave me feedback on next steps. I was there on a slightly busy day but there was a waiting area with a TV, pub height tables and seating and lower lounge seats. I discovered they are dog-friendly which is good to know because next time I might need to bring one of my four-legged baby girls to accompany me. There were several people waiting for their cars but the service center was clearly on top of things because it moved quickly. When my car was ready he came and found me in the waiting area. He went through the service order and added in my reward points, asked if I had additional concerns which I didn’t and sent me on my way. Car is running great and I am happy with the service I’m getting. Thank you, Kearny Mesa Chevrolet!

Horrible service! We went in for our first courtesy oil service. Called to set up an appointment and they said there is no wait time and come on in. I still set up a appointment and said I would wait for the car at the dealership. I came in for the appointment time and was told it would be several hours before they would start and finish. I told them I had a appointment and they said it was first come first serve. Wow... would be nice if they said that at the time the appointment was made. Several hours for a oil change? Bad service. At the time I also asked since they would have it for several hours could they check the rear camera. When we back up the camera flips into a fish eye mode. There is a problem. They said I would have to leave the car for several days for them to check the camera and if work needs to be done it could take several weeks. I had several pictures showing the camera fish eye view. Still no solution. I was also told I would be charged for the inspection and if they could not see the problem it would cost me several hundred for the inspection. If they see it not working they would have to get Chevrolet to approve the work to fix it and again our car would just sit there until the approval was made and then they could order the parts and that would take several weeks. All this time my vehicle would be sitting at the service storage parking lot. Talking to people who were waiting for their cars, all were saying negative things about this dealership. The service guy heard me complain and told his guys to rush on my car so I wouldnt keep talking to people in the lobby. I called Chevrolet corporate and they said each dealership has their own policies and if I am not satisfied I should go to another dealership and maybe not a franchise ownership. Yikes wasnt good to hear. To top it off when the oil change was complete and they brought our car out they asked me to give them a positive review. What a joke! I told them they would see this review. Would be 0 stars but the lowest is 1 star. They owe me a tire air cap. Went in with four and came home with three. If you are thinking of buying a Chevy the sales team was awesome. 5 stars! But I would highly recommend you don not buy from this dealership due to horrible maintenance service and the wait time if you need a diagnosis and the extended wait time to get the car fixed.

I went in being skeptical about even getting a new vehicle. I wasn’t even planning on getting one because I wasn’t even sure I’d find the right fit for me. I appreciate the team for helping me change my mind and leaving with a vehicle I love. Shout out to Gilberto! Excellent salesman!!

I waited 90 minutes for a routine oil change. Had an appointment for 7am and was the first in line. No coffee in the machine and the tv was off. I asked 3 different employees to refill the machine and turn on the TV but they all ignored me. The customer service was poor. Usually this place is great and is where I bought my car and get my vehicle serviced. I left very disappointed. Not sure what happened to this branch. I will seek other options moving forward.

I will start out this review by saying I don't like auto dealership salesman. I guess it's just a thing that some people are okay with and others are not. Being a professional service provider and salesman I deal with customers a lot myself and for my personal business. That said lawyers and car salesman have always ranked at the bottom of my list of least enjoyable experiences. So much time going back and forth in order to finalize transactions. So why four stars, because even though I do not like the process of buying vehicles, it is necessary and it is helpful when a dealership spends the time to be better than average to make the process more palatable. I did buy a vehicle today and was okay with the time it took and the salesman that I dealt with. If you're looking for a Chevy Kearny Mesa Chevrolet would be a good choice for your consideration and a square deal.
