“Had bought my 4Runner from Cloninger in 2023, and at 30k miles, the engine started knocking. I have kept it maintained by Cloninger since I bought it, as keeping it maintained on schedule keeps the warranty in good standing. I also LOVE my 4Runner so I baby it as much as I can, garage kept and all. So when the engine began knocking, I knew it sounded like the lifters..and I couldn’t understand why when the oil had just been changed a couple of weeks earlier. So I took it in to Cloninger and they topped off my oil and gave it back to me, stating the noise was gone. The next day I had to call and make another appointment since the knocking was still there and had actually became more frequent. I took it in the following week and after a few weeks, I was able to get my 4Runner back with a new small block in it. They had replaced the engine and made sure it was fixed right. I’ve had it back for three days now and it seems to be doing great! Cloninger (and my customer service coordinator, Skylar) did a fantastic job getting my beautiful 4Runner fixed and back on the road. They also gave me a loaner vehicle for the duration while they fixed it. It’s hard to find good customer support these days, and I don’t really do many reviews, but this one deserves recognition.
