“I had a pretty good experience purchasing an SUV. They are known for being no haggle no hassle but we were trying to remove a $500 fee that was not included in the price. Madeline the manager was quite rude about it. All we needed was a friendly reminder that they were unable to do that. Besides the unprofessionalism from the manager, I love the car and they have good inventory.”

“Do NOT and I repeat.... DO NOT do business with these people. They are extremely rude to start. I have people that were looking at their vehicles online so I told my people that I would go and check out the cars that they were looking at for them so I could give them peace of mind. When I got there they would not allow me to scan the vehicles, they were extremely dismissive of any and all concerns that I had, and their customer service to put it mildly sucks. If you decide to go with this place you are potentially setting yourself up to get into a vehicle that could fail at any point in time, no matter the mileage. This is what we do for customers to ensure that they get into something that's going to benefit them not just the stealership. It would be a cold day in Hell before I ever recommended a single person to these people.”

“I don’t normally leave a lot of reviews, but I was extremely satisfied with the experience. I looked for 2 years for a particular car and found one at a Michigan CarMax. I was very skeptical. I had it delivered for a test drive. Loved the car and purchased it. Very smooth process. On the way home I noticed the touchscreen didn’t respond. No radio, climate control…nothing. Called right away and they said to have it looked at and the 90 warranty should cover it. I was again skeptical. This is a Jaguar F Type and only a few places can work on them, so it would not be cheap. They covered it. I was amazed, but very happy. DO NOT be afraid to buy from CarMax. So happy with their process and service.”

“Bought a fairly new car from them, didn’t even make to the first payment and the car wouldn’t start. Thats not the problem I know stuff happens. But they wont give a loaner or any help in the time its down, for 5 days now. Doesn’t help being on hold for 15 minutes for a simple answer.”

“I had a great experience with Car Max! I found a car that was at the Naperville, Illinois location and Adam helped me through the process of having everything on the car checked out, gave me the detailed history of the car and the inspection, and even checked to see if there were any recalls outstanding for the vehicle. He then helped me with the process of having the car transferred to the Springfield, MO location, which was the closest location to my home. Before my appointment I was sent all of the paperwork and they made it clear everything I would need to bring with me. When I arrived Preston showed me the car, offered me to test drive it, and again went through the details of the cars history and inspection. He was super friendly and helpful, and made the second half of the car buying process as easy as Adam did the first half. I was very impressed by Car Max, their friendliness and honesty, and the way in which every person there made me feel excited about the purchase of my new (to me) vehicle. I highly recommend Adam, Preston and the Car Max teams at Naperville, IL and Springfield, MO!”
