“First and only dealership I went to in my search. I worked with Jonny & Rhett who made it easy to say yes. I explained my situation and what I was looking for and they made it happen. They didn’t have the truck onsite but brought it in next day and gave me a fair deal, it was as simple as that and it was nice not having to go back and forth. Enjoyed the experience and recommend”

“1. The problem with the emissions control system has returned yesterday after the car waiting on the lot for over one week. I have to take the car tomorrow.
2. For the second time no work was done on the issue which I research and summarize here:
Symptom Description
• Occurs after overnight cold soak.
• When decelerating from 30–35 mph to stop, noticeable lag followed by main thump.
• Followed by 1–3 smaller secondary thumps.
• Occurs for first 3–5 stops, then disappears once transmission warms.
• Condition has gradually become more pronounced.
Owner Diagnostic Testing Performed
• Neutral test at 10–12 mph eliminated thump completely.
• Manual mode controlled downshift eliminated thump completely.
• After manual cycle, automatic operation became smooth.
• Findings suggest cold 2→1 downshift control behavior (not mechanical driveline failure).
Industry / Model Consistency
• The described symptoms and diagnostic findings are consistent with reported cold 2→1 downshift
harshness behavior observed in GM 8-speed automatic transmissions.
• Condition appears related to adaptive shift logic and clutch fill timing during cold operation.
• Requesting evaluation within this known behavioral pattern.
3. I will discuss the following tomorrow as I drop the car. Hopefully this as well as the emissions issue will be really fixed.

• Verify latest TCM (Transmission Control Module) calibration.
• Perform Transmission Fast Learn / Adaptive Reset procedure.
• Inspect transmission fluid level and condition.
• Due to heavy towing history, perform transmission fluid and filter service if appropriate.
• Perform adaptive relearn after any fluid service.
• Document condition and actions taken in service record.”

“Give credit where credit is due. Can I first start off by saying, I hate buying cars. Going to the dealership can be super stressful. And often times it can take what should be a fun experience and completely make it sour. Not the case with Van Buick GMC. From the moment I stepped on the lot, I was treated with respect and the sales staff was outstanding. I met Tom Sneddon as I was getting out of my vehicle. He was extremely friendly and very welcoming. I shared with him what I was looking for. I had a few things that were non-negotiable for me, and there was a few things on my wish list. He was very attentive and listened to exactly what I needed. He found a vehicle that met all of my needs. He set me up with a beverage and went and grabbed the truck. Through the entire process, he was super friendly and answered all my questions. When I came into the dealership after my test drive, I was introduced to Mike Wolfe. And can I tell you, this is someone that knows exactly what they’re doing. Very efficient and super friendly. He asked me about my trade-in, how much cash I was going to put down, and I filled out a credit report. It was super quick and easy. We negotiated the price of the truck and my trade, and before you knew it, I owned a new truck. It’s clear that Mike Wolfe has created a culture at that dealership. It’s amazing and I’m so happy that I landed there. I can’t say enough good things about Van Buick GMC.
