“Let me start by saying that I don't enjoy leaving reviews that aren't 5 star. However I make a concerted effort to leave honest reviews. In fact in this case I wasn't going to bother leaving a review until they asked for one so here we go. Main takeaway here if you don't want to read the rest: this dealer is not easy to work with if you don't live in the area and I definitely do not recommend them to anyone purchasing from out of state. What happened: I flew in to buy a used F-150 Raptor (for well over $40k) from this dealer. I already had financing set up. I feel because of this, I was afforded very little accommodation. Nobody offered to come pick me up from the airport (which is ~45 minute drive and also an $80+ Uber drive). When I first called about the vehicle and told them I would be flying in from out of state, I had asked if someone could pick me up from the airport. I was told it would "not be a problem." In case anyone is wondering, I've bought 6 vehicles out of state and flew in for most of them. Since every other time the dealer was within an hour of the airport (which was the case here), they offered to come pick me up. In this situation ultimately the sales person whom I will not name had to reimburse me for my Uber out of his own pocket after trying to get out of it by offering me a full tank of fuel which the vehicle already had. Pretty underhanded IMHO. I arrived to the dealer about 2.5 hours before closing and proceeded to check out the vehicle and take take it for a quick test drive. Then waited for finance for over an hour till almost close. This when they had all of my finance paperwork. I had financing through USAA and their GM Jeff unequivocally refused to allow me to handle the title work myself and pay taxes at home. I was unhappy with this seeing as how I've purchased no less than 4 vehicles this way using USAA financing. This caused a 2+ month process that I had to pay for. There is nothing more frustrating than have to spend my money to pay some out of state company to do something I could have done myself. Needless to say I will not be planning to do any further business with Schaumburg Ford nor can I recommend them. I doubt they care though since I am not local. Their finance guy Nick was the best, most helpful, and most chill part of the experience. He actually knew more about the vehicle than the "sales" person did. He's honestly the only reason this isn't a 1 star review.”

There were some nice discounts for the new Ford Explorer I purchased. I love the new Explorer! It is loaded and has some really great features. It was also built in Chicago where my Father and Grandfather once worked!! Pretty cool! The people at Bob Rohrmans Schaumburg Ford are genuinely nice folks and go out of their way to make car buying less stressful. I’m glad I went to Schaumburg Ford.”
