“I'm not one to leave reviews but figured I'd share my experience at Carolina Luxury Auto Group to hopefully save someone else the disappointment and frustration I dealt with. Read on for full experience.
The short of it: If you're looking for a place that prioritizes sales over customer service / relationship this is the place for you. I not only wasted time but money trying to purchase a vehicle from them. Their words not mine, "first come, first served"! Doesn't sound very customer driven does it? Especially after wiring money and taking time off work.
Long version:
I reached out to Carolina Luxury Auto Group to purchase a vehicle listed on their website Tuesday morning. After confirming it was available, I proceeded to set up a time to go look at the vehicle (Wednesday morning when they opened) and went through the process of wiring money to a local bank account (USAA customer) because they preferred a cashiers check.
Later that night I checked to see if the wire transfer went through but it was still processing (I sent it before the cut off time). To save myself and my passenger a 4+ hour round trip in case it didn't clear in time, I asked if it was okay to move to Thursday. I was told "No problem, we'll have it ready for you Thursday".
No urgency, no mention of them still trying to sell the car. Just texts back and forth of how excited I was to purchase the vehicle.
Well come lunch time Wednesday I get a text that someone else is coming to come buy the car and that if I wanted to hold the vehicle I should have put a $3000 (you read that right, 3 THOUSAND DOLLAR) non refundable deposit for them to hold it for me. Can you imagine forking out $3,000 (non refundable) to hold a 9 year old used vehicle? What if it has problems, what if its not comfortable to you, what if you don't like it? Well, I guess they made $3,000 off you at least.
Instead of doing the right thing they'd rather just sell it to whoever comes and gets it. I sent screen shots of the wire transfer in progress and set up a time 24 hours after my original window but that was not good enough to show that I was serious. At the end of the day I was told that's just how this business works, but hey at least they got their sale.
If you care about customer service, a place that works with you instead of treats you like a checkbook, look elsewhere.”

“I flew in from out of town and bought a car from Carolina luxury auto group. Even though they had been only open a couple weeks, everything went really smooth and I drove off with the car that day. They made me feel valued, and the vehicles they have are really something else! They have an indoor warehouse where most of the cars are kept for now. I worked with Ethan and he was great! Highly recommend these guys if you need a cool car.”
