“I recently bought a used car here and had a mixed experience. The first part of the sale was very pleasant. I worked closely with Joe and he was very helpful, knowledgable, and not at all pushy. He shared his expertise, while also allowing me to take the reins on what I was looking to get out of the experience (i.e., what I was looking for, my likes/dislikes, preferences, lifestyle). He was also amazing at working with me to get a great trade in value for my Jeep Wrangler. He was just overall a very understanding and empathetic individual. If I were to have to buy another car, I'd make sure I worked with Joe... although, it would have to be before the end of the year because he's retiring. :-)
Note: I bought the car on a Friday, but did not pick it up until the following Monday. The car had not been detailed yet and I wasn't able to pick up the car right away, so we thought this would be best. I figured this would give the dealership ample time to detail the car and get all paperwork together without scrambling.
On the flipside, the "second half" of the sale (i.e., interest rate, extended warranty, other add-ons) was less than satisfactory. We worked primarily with Rich, who seemed nice from the start, but within two days of initially speaking with him, he left us with a VERY sour taste in our mouth. We initially talked with Rich on a Friday, which is when I "bought" my car. We briefly talked numbers and what "add-ons" I was looking for. I was primarily interested in the extended warranty and I let him know this. Before we left for the day (which was at 3:00 in the afternoon, keep in mind), Rich told us he would "crunch the numbers and get back to us." Anyways, I never heard from Rich later on Friday night, Saturday at all, or even Monday morning before we arrived. I have NEVER bought a car where I did not know what my payment would be before leaving...
When we arrived about 10 minutes early before our appointment on Monday to complete paperwork and pick up the car, a nice man at the desk named Matt let us know that our paperwork was not done. Keep in mind that they asked me on Friday what time I wanted to pick up the car and we made a scheduled appointment. Also, most people pick up the car the next day, but I gave a day and a half to get everything together.
Anyways... While we were filling out paperwork with Matt (Joe was busy with another client), he let us know that Rich told him we agreed to everything that was listed on the document, including the $4,200 extended warranty. This was out of my price range and not something I felt comfortable paying for. I let Matt know that I hadn't agreed to anything and that Rich said he was going to "crunch the numbers" and get back to me, but never did. Matt apologized, reassured me that the $4,200 does seem high for an extended warranty, and went in the back to figure out the problem. Around 10 minutes later, Rich comes out and gives us another spiel. Rather than apologizing for him nearly finalizing paperwork without running it by the BUYER first, he played victim and acted like we were the ones that were "changing ship." He reemphasized over and over again about how he was "cutting us a break" but knocking a whopping $600 off the extended warranty, which brought it to $4,200. We shared with him that the price was WAY too high and if they couldn't help with that at all, we would buy one elsewhere. Keep in mind, I already had a ballpark number of what I was willing to pay, based on friends and families with similar cars. He was adamant that he could not get it that low, unless we changed the length of the extended warranty to be LESS than my loan. In the end, we didn't end up doing the extended warranty because of our extremely poor experience with Rich, who SO politely shared with us that he gave us a "gift and a half" on the extended warranty before we left with the car, which is so unprofessional it makes me absolutely sick. I'll be choosing a different Toyota dealership in the future because I don't want to run the risk of the same experience with Rich again.”

“I am SO impressed with the Service Department at Bob Johnson Toyota. A few years ago my catalytic converter was cut off and stolen from my car. I ended up having to buy another part and have it put back on, however my car was NOT the same afterwards. Last year (2025) before Christmas my catalytic converter corroded and fell off AGAIN. My car was SO LOUD and embarrassing. So I brought it to the service department to see if they could fix it and they did an AMAZING job. They replaced the connecting pipe and the converter and my car is so quiet now. It drives so smooth and I can't even hear it when I start it up. It drives like I just drove it off the lot. 1000 stars to the service department, they really know their stuff and I cannot rave about them enough. Very professional, knowledgeable, and affordable. They explained everything to me during the process and they were very efficient. Absolutely would recommend them to anyone that needs work on their car and I will be back to have them service my vehicle again in the future. 😁”

“Waited 3.5 weeks for car to get done. When called for pick up. The car wasnt completed. What a pain in the ass dealing with these people and insurance company. You want wet sand scratches and buff burn marks in your car take it here, lol. Amanda Mackay is a joke to say the least, I was told she did the final inspection to release the car, lol. No badges put on, trim don't line up and a paint job looking like this. This is a 3,000 dollar repair? Do I need to say more? I forgot it must of been Delra Sonic car wash that did it right, lol. What a joke 😃”
