“Customer service is subpar. We purchased 2 brand new Volvo’s in 2024. Those purchases went smoothly. After 1.5 years of ownership, the V60 was towed to this location after a complete power shut down on the interstate. The sales manager would not supply a loaner and did not even tell us this directly. We had to ask the service department after sitting waiting for over a hour for an answer. The excuse was that loaners had to be scheduled 2 weeks out…emergencies aren’t a scheduled thing. We have owned equivalent luxury vehicles in the past and received high quality customer service in similar situations.
I filed a formal complaint with Volvo and was reached out to by Midlothian Volvo who offered to help and facilitate communication if needed. This was greatly appreciated.
We will likely never purchase another Volvo and certainly not from the Broad St location.”

“I recently visited the Volvo of Richmond, last Wednesday. I was amazed on how Mr. Troy, Madison, and the other team members in Service, had a awesome personality and work connection towards each other. Mr. Troy, is the manager and his professionalism, caring, supportive concerns for the customers, is out of this world. He provided exceptional services to me. Christina always take the time to answer any questions I may have, and provide me with a solution to solved the problem. Both Mr. Troy and Ms. Christina are reliable, honest and operated with integrity. But not only them, but the whole staff members were amazing. Madison was friendly, professional, kind, and showed concerned about my car. Madison made sure to comunicate with me during the entire process. Thanks to each of you for all your efforts and the above-and-beyond assistance you provided during my visit. Much appreciated!”

They were professional, prompt, and transparent through the whole process. Their level of service went above and beyond my expectations to make sure I was getting a good condition car at a fair price. I would happily buy from here again.”

“I want to give a big shout out to this Volvo dealership on W Broad Street in Richmond, VA who’s Service Department was exceptional and helped me when I was in a sticky situation. I was about three hours from home and blew two tires out hitting a curb when I was turning out of a parking lot. I was able to drive to a Goodyear Tires that was 0.4 miles from the incident and they told me the tire size I needed was no where nearby and they would get them in the following morning. The next morning Goodyear scoured the vehicle and couldn’t find the tire unlock set/key so I had to call the nearest Volvo dealership. I call and ask to speak to the Service Manager because I’m desperate at this point. The Service Manager, Troy Jackson tells me to call Volvo On Call and they will tow my Volvo for free from Goodyear to them since they are the nearest dealership. The dealership didn’t have the tires in stock but arranged to get them in by Noon same day. I called back and Julius in the Service Department arranged for their shuttle service to our hotel, which was 10 miles away and they got me, my kids, and all our luggage to the dealership where they put the two tires on and got us back on the road. The icing on the cake was when I was about to check out and Bucky in the Service Department said he checked the system and I got a road hazard package that covers the cost of the tires when I bought the car. He says, “how would you like to pay $200 something for the install and alignment rather than over a thousand” that I thought I was going to pay. That’s great customer service—thank you Volvo W Broad Street Richmond, VA Service Department!”
