“Save yourself the headache and stress by avoiding this dealership. They are not efficient or convenient. Dealing with them was unpleasant, especially after witnessing repeated avoidance and a complete lack of attention to real issues.
I purchased a brand new 2025 Nissan Rogue on September 27, 2025. I barely had the chance to drive this vehicle before problems started. Within a week of ownership, multiple issues appeared, which raises serious concerns about the quality of a brand new vehicle. The most serious issue was a safety problem: the liftgate would randomly close while I was loading and unloading the trunk.
The first time I brought the vehicle into the shop, I was dismissed and told to read the manual, which is unacceptable for a safety issue on a brand new car.
I dropped the vehicle off for the second time on October 29, 2025. For the next month, the dealership repeatedly claimed there were no issues to duplicate, despite my efforts to explore the option of a buyback due to these serious problems. It was not until December 1, when I went onsite and personally demonstrated the issues to the regional engineer, that the problems were finally acknowledged. The engineer confirmed the liftgate sensor needed replacement, addressed a side mirror issue where it would flicker and occasionally get stuck, and approved a radio update.
Communication throughout this process was terrible. Attempts to reach management and sales were met with delays, deflection, or no response. I was repeatedly reassured that someone would follow up, but nothing ever happened.
The topic of a buyback was raised by me because of the severity of these issues for a brand new vehicle.The dealership claimed it was in corporate’s hands, but Consumer Affairs confirmed that, because the vehicle was purchased directly from the dealership, the decision was entirely the dealership’s responsibility…
As of December 29, 2025, the vehicle has been at the dealership for nearly two months. If I had not pushed Consumer Affairs and demonstrated the issues myself, nothing would have been addressed.
My recommendation is to not purchase a car from Nissan of Richmond. The poor quality and lack of accountability have completely destroyed any confidence I had in the brand.”

“Finding the right car can be a stressful process for anyone, but when it came time for my mom to look for a vehicle that truly fit her needs, we were fortunate enough to work with an exceptional group of people: Logan, Billy, Ty, and the entire Nissan team. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine dedication transformed what could have been an overwhelming experience into a smooth, reassuring, and even enjoyable journey.
From the moment we arrived at the dealership, Logan made us feel welcome. She listened carefully to what my mom needed—not just the make and model preferences, but what would make her feel safe, confident, and comfortable behind the wheel. Instead of pushing options or rushing the process, she asked thoughtful questions and took the time to understand her daily routine, her driving habits, and the features that would matter most. Her patience put my mom at ease, and she felt respected throughout the entire process not to mention Logan’s willingness to stay late, especially as a hardworking mom.
Ty’s support in Finance was just as invaluable. He brought a level of knowledge and clarity that helped us compare options without confusion or pressure. He explained everything making sure my mom understood what she was getting and how it would help her. His warm personality and positive energy added to the experience :)
Behind the scenes, the entire Nissan team worked seamlessly to support us. Whether it was answering questions, preparing paperwork, or ensuring the test-driving process went smoothly, their teamwork was evident. Every person we interacted with treated my mom with kindness and respect, and their coordinated effort made everything efficient and stress-free.
Big Big thanks to Logan, Billy, Ty, and the Nissan team, my mom not only found the right car—she found a vehicle she truly loves and feels confident driving. Their professionalism, empathy, and dedication made all the difference. It’s rare to encounter a team that combines knowledge with compassion so effortlessly, and we are truly grateful for their exceptional service.
This experience reminded us that buying a car can be more than a transaction—it can be a moment of trust, care, and support, my mom got exactly what she needed and more. This meant everything to us.

“I had the pleasure of a truly exceptional car purchase experience yesterday, 11/19/2025, at Nissan of Richmond.
Alan with the internet sales team reached out to me right away and kept the sales team informed of the vehicle I was looking to come in and test drive.
Ultimately I ended up purchasing a 2025 Gunmetal Grey Nissan Sentra S, and I absolutely love her!
Trevor was the sales manager who assisted me with my vehicle purchasing process and was extremely helpful, warm, and professional the entire time. Ty and Mustafa were the ones who were with me in the financing phase and were as equally warm and professional. I was also greeted by Ebony the Owner Loyalty Manager and thanked for doing business with them and given assurance to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Everyone at the dealership was very welcoming and congratulatory on my new purchase from the receptionist (whom I'm so sorry I didn't catch the name of, Margaret I think?) to Wiggs who put the license plates on my car for me.
Thank you all for a truly seamless and wonderful car buying experience. I have to point out it was SO refreshing to be able to make my purchase with a personal check instead of being turned down and forced to either go to the bank and get a cashier's check or finance because 'Oops, the banks are closed right now'. That's a nightmare scenario I have run into twice in the past. Not here, and I thank God for that. Never at any point did I not feel valued or respected. No pressure or anything.

“I had a WONDERFUL experience at Nissan of Richmond today. I bought a used car from them (a 2024 Honda HR-V). My sales consultant was Logan Hodnett and she was FANTASTIC! From the moment I met her she was friendly, respectful, and genuine. She asked me questions to get to know my situation, and she was very in-dept when she answered my questions. When showing me the car I was most interested in, she went through each feature and explained it to me.
When we weren't sure if that car would work for me financially, she and her manager, Billy D'Amato, were quick and helpful to try and find a different vehicle. When I wasn't a fan of that one, they both worked very hard to find a solution for me. I was able to buy the car I was hoping for and I got a wonderful price for it! They were able to adapt to my financing needs and made sure I walked away happy!
The finance manager I filled out paper work with, Stephon Ross, was also very kind, considerate, and he was very thorough. He answered every question I had and made sure I had a full understanding of all the papers I signed.
When I was getting ready to leave in my new car, I ran into some problems with getting the CarPlay to work, so, I went back inside and asked for help. I'm not sure of the name of the man that helped me, but he was SO kind and helped me figure out it was just the cord I was using.
Everyone here was so kind, respectful, and treated me like a real person, not just a potential sale. I HIGHLY recommend doing business here!”
