“I purchased a used 2012 Volvo from this dealership for cash on June 13, 2026. Before purchasing the vehicle, I was very clear with the salesperson about my concerns regarding its age, mileage, and the potential for costly repairs. In fact, I offered approximately $2,000 less than the asking price specifically because I wanted to leave room in my budget for those potential expenses. The salesperson assured me that the vehicle had been well cared for by its previous single owner, regularly serviced, and properly maintained. He shared information about prior repairs and told me they believed the Volvo was a good and reliable purchase. Based on those assurances, they would not reduce the price. I remained hesitant, and the salesperson told me that if anything happened within 30 days, I should call him. Unfortunately, just 73 days after purchasing the vehicle, the check-engine light came on. I understood when I purchased a 2012 vehicle that there were risks associated with its age. What I did not expect was the complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic respect I received when I contacted the dealership. After I called, I was transferred to the finance manager. I explained what had happened and the concerns I had specifically raised before purchasing the vehicle. Rather than having a professional conversation with me, I was rudely told, in substance, that if I didn't purchase a warranty, it was my problem—and then he hung up on me. That is the part of this experience I find absolutely unacceptable. I spent approximately $9,000 of my hard-earned money with this dealership. I wasn't demanding that they automatically pay for every repair on a 14-year-old vehicle. I expected them to listen, show some empathy, and at least have a respectful conversation about whether there was a reasonable compromise or solution—particularly considering the assurances I received when they were trying to sell me the car. Instead, I was treated as though the moment they had my money, neither I nor my concerns mattered anymore. I chose this dealership in part because of reviews describing them as honest, transparent, and professional. My experience after the sale could not have felt further from those descriptions. I cannot remember ever being treated with such disrespect by a business after spending thousands of dollars with them. Cars break. I understand that. How a business treats a customer when something goes wrong is a choice. The check-engine light is disappointing. Being rudely dismissed and hung up on by a manager is what permanently lost me as a customer. I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership, will never give them my business again, and cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone else. There are too many dealerships competing for customers to ever knowingly spend another dollar with a business that treated me this way.”
