“Less than pleased with my experience with Carmax and specifically salesman Michael Greenwood. We showed up right on time and still ended up waiting - which is fine because that is often out of our control. The issue started immediately upon introduction — he wanted to ‘elbow bump’ because of my toddler who he pointed to while explaining why he didn’t want to shake my hand. That’s completely fine - but there’s no need to point and say “I’ll elbow shake especially because you have him *points at my son* and they are all germy”. Completely unnecessary and not even remotely funny. He only referred to my husband while talking, when the car we were purchasing was meant for me and I was the one who had made the appointment. If we had a different salesman I’m sure I would’ve bought the car I test drove because we actually liked it. We instead went to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Buford the next day and had a much better experience there and ended up buying the newer version of the same car. The entire staff there was friendly, helpful and respectful to both me, my husband and our toddler (which was not the case with our salesman from carmax). Damon and Hector from Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Buford went out of their way to make my toddler comfortable during the long car buying process by bringing him several toys and something to scribble on. Carmax aka Michael Greenwood could take a few notes from them.”
