Easily the most painful car buying experience I've ever had. We were looking for a used EV to serve as a daily driver/in town car. Jeff Perry had a gently used 2022 Bolt EUV for a very reasonable price, so we took the trip to see it. After a brief test drive, it was clear that this car would suit our needs, so we began waiting for the financial team to free up so that we could sign the paperwork. A few hours later, it was our turn and we finally met with Randy to sign the paperwork. In addition to the long wait with our infant son, we also had the following issues: We were told our vehicle has adaptive cruise control; it doesn't. It wasn't made clear to us until well into the process that this vehicle was a manufacturer buyback ("lemon law") and the financing we had secured before we left would not be able to cover the purchase. They snuck in a 5-year warranty that cost nearly 1/3 the purchase price of the vehicle, and didn't share the full conditions for the warranty with us. We were not offered the opportunity to decline this coverage (and we would have had the offer been made), and when we inquired why the financed amount looked too high to be correct, it was handwaved away. We did not realize until later that this was the cause. Once we had left with our new car, they called to inform us that the financier they had set us up with ALSO wouldn't cover a buyback vehicle, so they needed to send us more paperwork to sign with a different financier, as well as paperwork to manage the title.

I bought a 2026 Chevy Colorado the day after Christmas. I had been looking for Colorados for a few weeks and had been to other dealers in the Chicago suburbs as that is where I live. The last dealer I visited in there had one I liked and I was ready to buy but the dealer kept withdrawing their discounts saying they were tied to the promotional financing from GM. The discounts from GM are explicitly removed from deals if promotional financing is used, but the dealer was removing their own discounts that are advertised on their website even though they are in no way tied to the special rate financing. Now my experience with Jamie at Jeff Perry Chevrolet. I texted them in the morning the day after Christmas. Over the next hour or two I was in contact with Jaime and explained what I had been dealing with at the other dealer. He worked out a deal to get me the promotional financing as well as the discount they advertised on their website. They also met the same trade in value for my trade that the other dealer had offered. I drove to the dealership about an hour away and was met by very friendly people and everything was waiting for me. The deal was EXACTLY as he had said, including no forced add ons. Overall this was the best car buying experience I have had and I highly recommend Jaime and Jeff Perry Chevrolet to anyone shopping for a car.

The dealership staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely invested in helping me through out my purchase experience. The purchase and financing process was very straightforward with great support, thank you Melissa. The vehicle itself exceeded my expectations. I wanted to share what a fantastic experience we had recently purchasing our new 2025 Equinox EV at Jeff Perry Chevrolet. Everything from the first contact, deal negotiations online via text and email, and delivery was handled extremely well. Not once did I ever feel like we were being pressured or misled with information we requested. Our product specialist, Christian, provided prompt responses to any questions we had and information requests during the negotiating process. We then connected with Ron, one of their sales managers, and he again was extremely helpful, even going out of his way to suggest a financing option that ended up getting us a 0.9% rate on our vehicle. Once we had the deal agreed to online, we travelled to the dealership where we were able to promptly complete the necessary paperwork. When our originally assigned finance manager, Melissa, got busy managing multiple deals, her co-worker, Scott, stepped in and assisted in finishing our paperwork in a timely manner. All told, we probably spent no more than 30-45 minutes completing paperwork and taking delivery of our new vehicle on a Saturday afternoon. I highly recommend Jeff Perry Chevrolet in Rochelle. Even if it is a little out of the way for you, they do a great job of providing info remotely and making delivery a breeze! Thank you so much Christian, Ron, Melissa, and Scott. It was a pleasure doing business with each one of you. Our vehicle will be going back over the upcoming week to have a trailer hitch and a couple of other accessory items that were part of the deal addressed, and I look forward to hopefully just as good of an experience with their service department for many years to come.
