“Everyone I met here is nice. I think I’ve just been thoroughly beat up with my experience with owning a Mini Cooper. And I couldn’t bring myself to recommend this dealership or owning one of these cars. Some of this is my own fault from inexperience or maybe poor luck, or not speaking up. But I felt a need to share my story.
In summer 2023 I started showed interest in a used 2020 Mini Cooper S when my old car was too old. My cars salesman was Evan. Evan was nice and answered all of my questions. I went into the appointment with a down payment, but I wasn’t 100% decided. I was under the impression that I was going in just for a test drive, but I felt very pressured by Evan to purchase the car that day. He said since I was going on vacation the next week he wasn’t sure if he could hold the car for me. I went for a small drive to think and eventually went back and purchased the car. Ultimately it was my decision, and I shouldn’t have went alone. But I do regret being hasty and not doing enough research. And being pressured didn’t help.
The car was very fun and cute. But over the next two years I ended up spending thousands of dollars on repairs. I had problems with the tires, the battery, the transmission oil, and there was a tear in the engine mount. I knew the car I was buying wasn’t particularly known for its reliability, but I wasn’t expecting it to have nearly as many problems as it did. Especially after only a year or so of buying it. I believe it only had 30k miles when I bought it? And since it’s a foreign car you usually had to get it repaired at the dealership, making it pricey. Even Valvoline would turn me away when I wanted an oil change. The service people were always nice, especially Brandon. But god was it a stab in the stomach every time I handed my credit card to them. It got to the point where Brandon mentioned he kept seeing my name on the service list and would feel bad. Oh and sometimes they would send out coupons for service, but they would only be valid for a month. Which is a little deceptive and not very helpful?
I ended up trading it in for a Subaru. I traded it in for maybe half of what I actually paid, not even. Which I know is sometimes the name of the game, but it sucks. Bowser Subaru ended up offering more for the Mini Cooper than the Mini dealership did. I never ever would do it again. My savings account took a blow. And I wish I had bought a different car to begin with. Again, I admit a decent amount of fault to this. But I do feel somewhat misled and scammed after everything.”

“I came to Mini of Pittsburgh (again) after my 2025 Mini was deemed a total loss. Morgan and his team worked to get me into a new car, and they gave me a great deal. It’s always a pleasure to buy from them, and I’m sure I’ll be back for my next Mini!”

“My partner and I purchased a new Mini yesterday. As you can probably understand, we are thrilled. Having lived in NYC for many years where a car is a burden to have, it is liberating to finally own one, and to delete the Uber App.
More importantly, I want to let you know how pleased we were with how well Morgan treated us from the time we stepped into his office until we drive away in the new car. He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Each question we posed to him he took seriously and did his utmost to give us a clear, honest, and informative reply. There was no pressure, only the assurance that he was there to help us make the right decision. And he accomplished all of this with a witty sense of humor.
I might also add that Tim was also most helpful in explaining and describing the technical features of the car. Tim was very thorough, patient, Â and had a friendly and calming demeanor. He told us to reach out to him at any time if we had any questions as we acclimate ourselves to the brilliant new car.
Without reservation, I would recommend Mini of Pittsburgh. They have put together an excellent team of customer service employees.”

“Evan was hands down the best car salesman I’ve ever dealt with. He was excellent and didn’t try to pressure anything and was super down to earth and friendly. He seems like someone anyone could be friends with. Made the experience so smooth he didn’t even feel like a “normal” car salesman. 10/10 for Evan! He didn’t rush us one bit even though we came in 45 mins before close to get my wife a mini cooper and he got us out within a respectable time. Would hands down buy another car from Evan!!!”
