“I called and spoke to Elizabeth. She handled my credit app the day before and she called me as she stated the following day to update me with my vehicle of choice. Despite my negative derog credit cards that I defaulted on due to being injured at work 3 years ago : they made it happen. They got me the car. It was well priced. Had new name brand tires. And for its age and miles was immaculate and I am very happy and would refer anyone to give them a chance. The finance managers let me take the car with a few necessary add ons but gave me the choicr and respect to do the maintenance myself. I’d recommend them to anyone.”

“Update: 4/24/26 - over $2000 in fixes stemming from the neglect to disclose the mechanical and electrical issues already present and hidden at purchase. To add insult to injury I still have not received my physical plates and haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone in the registration department at Karplus every time I call. Update: 11/11/25 Day of pickup: less than one mile down the road after vehicle pickup the check engine light came on with no codes showing but multiple systems still in standby (indicative of a previous computer reset), I returned immediately asked them to run the OBD2 and they reset the computer. Since the vehicle was left with a practically empty tank I went to fill up only for the check engine to come back on. When I brought the vehicle to my mechanic he ran a scan to only find the same thing, no codes but multiple systems still in standby. After a week of driving hoping for the computer to complete its cycle we checked again and did a full scan to find 12 various faults and stored events. One of which would make it impossible to pass SMOG making me wonder how it even passed SMOG on 9/22/25. I called KARPLUS for them to completely change their tone and they told me to bring it to San Fernando auto who did the initial SMOG because they want to see the faults and ‘compare’ what was found and make things right. If this is the shop that did the smog and initial inspection only to ignore all of these obvious issues with the vehicle why would I trust them to be honest with their assessment now? Especially after I had it looked over by a reputable 3rd party mechanic? I also received an email today from Capital One saying that a loan application was submitted and that I was not approved. This means KARPLUS submitted an application on my behalf that I did not apply for or give them permission too which I will now have to fight to remove from my credit report. This was after I explicitly asked them not to run my credit after my bank’s loan was accepted. I expect KARPLUS to reimburse me for the complete cost of repairs to make it SMOG passable. No matter what I will be reporting this business to the DMV Investigations Bureau. This is a predatory business and shouldn’t be selling lemons with cleared computers and doing hard credit runs on people who have explicitly asked them not to. The previous review was done in good faith only for me to be absolutely deceived: It was a great experience at KarsPlus, Danny was so helpful in showing me the available Sprinters and similar cargo vans they had in stock and was completely transparent about the additional packages required at purchase. Eleazar the lot manager made the application process and working with my current lender a breeze, in less than 24 hours we had everything squared away and signed with Lon the finance manager handing me the keys. The team get is super tight nit and extremely efficient. I’ll absolutely be sending more people this way looking for great deals and fair processes/prices. If you’re a Bank of America or Wells Fargo customer definitely look to these guys as they primarily work with them and will get you the best deal possible. Thank you KarsPlus!”
