Kinda feel like I got scammed today. I normally go to PB Chevy and I love love love it there, where I bought my 2017 Jeep Renegade. But when it wouldn't start Monday night I got it towed to the PB Jeep location after calling both places and confirming it was probably better to go to Jeep they would probably have what I needed on hand. Towed to the dealership around 10am Tuesday and about 3 mins after we left the lot, I get a call that they just started it 3 times in a row no problem if I was still there and wanted to take it back. I hesitated but decided I wanted them to keep it and just check to make sure that the battery and starter were fine and not about to die, bc I live 30 mins away and my luck would get home and it die. Was called 2pm Wednesday that they had the same problem I had had and that they determined it was the battery on its last leg and I gave them the ok to replace it. About an hour later it was ready, perfect. When I arrived to pay I was taken aback a little by the price that I actually like stopped slowed down and really read and followed over what everything said and went to. Ok labor, like $160, fine. Parts (my new battery) $290!? For a total of like $450ish. I mean, I don't fix cars and it just said battery replaced no other parts replaced so I paid and left. After telling multiple people the price and seeing their faces and reactions. We called to ask about the price of batteries there and we told yes that is what the price is and you've paid. I just feel like the total should have been disclosed before the work was done. I will take my share of responsibility that I did not ask the total. I am very much aware if the prices of batteries at Walmart and for the work to be done on it there but I did not have a battery light on. My lights, music, heat, windows would all work but the engine wouldn't start. The problem was unknown. And they were confident that it was good to go 3 mins after I dropped it off. A car battery should not and does not cost almost $300.

We were traveling through Olean when our Jeep Cherokee developed an oil leak. The problem was a crack in the housing that holds the oil filter. The folks in the service department had the part and were able to work us in to their very crowded schedule to get us fixed and back on the road. We could have been days of delay stranded but we weren’t because of the thoughtfulness and professionalism of the Paul Brown Jeep service team.
