“Came to this dealership and it felt like they didn't want me there and was irritated by me the whole time, they didn't offer me anything to drink or even a seat I had to ask where I can sit. The car I looked at had rim damage and a deep scratch on the hood the interior was so scratched up it was a joke. Then they tried to sell me an electric car without a charger! Seriously unprofessional and no customer service at all. Definitely wouldn't be doing business with them even if they took 3k off their price. You would think especially coming to a Lexus dealership they would be more courteous.”

“I had a truly wonderful experience at Coliseum Lexus of Oakland. My sales consultant, Sophie, along with her entire team, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Everyone went above and beyond — they were attentive, professional, efficient and incredibly patient, showing me a variety of models I was interested in and making sure all my questions were answered. They followed up with me promptly after my visit as well, which I really appreciated. Although I ultimately chose an electric vehicle for other personal reasons, I can confidently say that if I were to purchase a Lexus, this is the dealership I’d return to without hesitation. The level of care, transparency, and customer service here is exceptional. I highly recommend Coliseum Lexus of Oakland to anyone looking for a high-quality Lexus and an outstanding car-buying experience.”

“Decline in Customer Service at Oakland Coliseum Lexus I have been a loyal customer of Oakland Coliseum Lexus for several years and have purchased at least three vehicles from this dealership. I’ve also consistently brought all of my cars here for service. While I appreciate the upgrades to the building, unfortunately, the level of customer service has declined significantly. On October 2, 2025, I had a scheduled 10:00 AM appointment to have my black rim touched up. I even received a confirmation call 24 hours prior. I arrived on time, was promptly checked in, and then shortly after was told the touch-up couldn’t be done due to rain. It had only drizzled earlier that morning and was completely dry by the time I arrived. I asked why I wasn’t given a courtesy call before driving through Bay Area traffic, and was told to “hang tight.” Then I was told the touch-up could be done, but not until 11:30 AM—because that’s when they “normally start” that kind of work. I reasonably asked why they would schedule a 10:00 AM appointment if the work doesn’t begin until 11:30. The answer I got: “Because we like to have the car available.” That logic doesn’t make sense, especially after confirming my appointment the day before. I waited patiently until they said my car was ready. When I inspected it, the rim hadn’t been touched up at all. I was then told I supposedly requested the wrong rim. When I arrived, I had clearly pointed to the left side of the car—the side most prone to curb scrapes. In the past, Lexus staff would always inspect the entire vehicle to ensure everything was in order. Not this time. When I asked to speak to the service manager, the person who had been assisting me said, “I am the service manager.” He proceeded to tell me it was my fault that the wrong rim had been repaired and showed me before-and-after photos. I explained that the rim they repaired had already been fixed there previously—so if it needed repair again, that reflected poorly on the quality of their past work. I then asked to speak with the General Manager, but received more of the same dismissive attitude and excuses. No one took responsibility, and no one seemed genuinely interested in resolving the issue. This experience was deeply disappointing. Oakland Coliseum Lexus used to be my go-to dealership because of its exceptional service and professionalism. Sadly, those days are gone. Most of the staff I used to trust have retired or moved on to other places. I will continue to service my Lexus vehicles—but not at this location. I’m also currently in the market for a new SUV, and unfortunately, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. It’s truly disappointing to see how far this dealership has fallen from its former standards.”

“I had an amazing experience with Thomas (Tommy) Ochoa! Buying your first car can be tricky, especially in the Bay Area, where a lot of dealerships push you into quick decisions without really thinking about what you need. But my experience with Tommy and Coliseum Lexus was totally different and way better than anything else I’ve come across. Tommy was super quick, clear, and efficient with communication. Whenever I needed help, he was always there, and even now that I own an NX, it’s super easy to get in touch. I also appreciate less spamming and transparent conversations. I’m local to San Francisco and venturing out was definitely worth it. I totally recommend this place and definitely ask for Thomas Ochoa!”
