“Shop Around If You’re Buying from Out-of-State I live in Montana and as a 100% cash buyer I was looking for a dealership willing to deal on a new Nissan Rogue. Having lived in Utah a few years ago (I remember getting my Honda Serviced at their downtown SLC Honda Dealer) and still traveling down there quite often I figured I’d start there. Unfortunately, Ken Garff "Didn’t Hear Me" this time around. On the positive side their sales guys were quick to make contact and talked a good game at the start. On the negative side it seems like there was not a lot of familiarity with dealing with out-of-state clients. When buying from out of state you should never have to pay Utah Sales tax nor pay for anything more than a 96-hour temporary tag to move the car out of the state (should cost you less than $10). This apparently was not a situation they were familiar with or didn’t care to understand. In addition, they seemed to have higher mark-ups ($600 for literally the exact same car down to the package) than other dealerships within reasonable distance from them. Their pricing on their website was not what was sent over on a deal sheet, in addition to the hard up-sale on extras (Kornerstone Protection Packages) didn’t leave a great impression. Compared to the next dealer I worked with who closed on the deal in less than an hour, it should be known these guys lost a cash sale at their website asking price. I would never have continued to search (and ultimately find a better deal) had they not played games. In the words of The Simpsons: "And now you’ve lost all but 600. You got greedy, Martin". These guys are not a first call even if I were to move back to Utah and I recommend anyone look further north, apparently their cars are cheaper and the service is better, those guys drove it to us at no cost, and Salt Lake City and the surrounding towns are a lot closer than Billings!”

They had a great selection of the type of car I was looking for (hatchback). Jandy came out and greeted us. She was polite, professional, good natured, and made my partner and me laugh. We test drove a couple of cars and I made my decision. She worked hard to get me in the car that I wanted. It was a very nice experience. I appreciate her working hard to get the deal done. I also worked with their finance guy, Andrew. He was great! Did a great job explaining things and all of the options that were available to me. Very personable, professional, and polite. He made sure we felt comfortable during the entire finance process. The manager. I believe his name was Lance, also dropped by to see how things were going. That was appreciated.
