In and out without typical dealer sales games, pressure tactics etc. If you want to buy or sell then great and if not then you walk away. Honestly can't figure out how they make money because the appraisal values provided are well above Online estimates and what other dealerships offer. “Remarkably pleasant experience! First time CarMax buyers, and I chose to try CarMax after being disgusted by my experience at a local dealership. What a change! At CarMax we were able to walk the lot, sit in any car we wanted to and check out size, layout and features without being accosted by salesmen. Test drives could be done alone. We bought after our 3rd visit, test driving the allowed 2 vehicles per visit. Love the no haggle price policy - which, by the way, extends to the warranty. The rep (I wouldn't even categorize them as salesmen, as they're a completely different breed from the dealership variety) does not run off to a manager or send you off to a finance guy for your next battle. It's all done at once, including (in MA), registration and actual license plates. We walked in with a check and out with a registered, plated, insured car in just over 2 hours. Fantastic experience!
