“Worked with Marc Perry from the selection , design and implementation of its manufacturing in the factory. I opted for a mini cooper S white convertible. Throughout the entire process Marc kept me well informed and once the vehicle finally arrived spent a significant amount of time going over features as well making sure I was aware of all its eccentricities. This vehicle was a college graduation gift for my middle daughter and I undoubtedly would use Marc and the Universal Mini team in the future . Professional throughout the process and would purchase again there in the future without hesitation. Amazing and positive experience. “I brought my under one-year-old vehicle to Universal City MINI to address loud, jolting brakes. The service department chose to "reprofile" the brake pads and replace a sensor. When the issue did not improve, I brought it back. The dealership completely gaslit me, claiming the problem was purely due to "environmental factors" and was not warrantable. Shortly after, the rotors rusted out specifically in the areas where the improperly treated pads were failing to make contact. Disappointed, I took the car to a different dealership to have them address the problem. Their technicians inspected the vehicle, stated that the damage was likely caused by the initial, incorrect reprofiling work done, and performed repair work under warranty. I will never bring any of my vehicles back to Universal City MINI. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for competent service.”

“Five stars for Bernie! I bought a Mini Cooper JCW from him, and the experience was incredible. We reached a deal in under ten minutes with just one phone call. After dealing with other dealerships that were either non-responsive, arrogant, or just kept playing games, Bernie was a breath of fresh air. I wish I’d found him sooner and saved myself all that wasted time. The entire process from paperwork to delivery was smooth, fast, and pleasant. If you’re looking for a Mini, go see Bernie. he’s the best!"”

“Inquired about a Mini over the internet on Friday night, sent a second request Saturday morning. I heard back from the sales person that they would get right back to me. Sent another message late Saturday afternoon and was informed someone had just come in and baught it. I get the lesson here is don't be an internet shopper with this dealer, you will either be ignored or have a car sold right out from under you. Would have happly sent a deposit over first thing Friday night or Saturday morning had they responded to my requests.”

“Our 2023 Mini Cooper S showed a “Vehicle Check / Oil Change due at 36,000 miles” alert. Basic minor stuff. I called Mini Universal to make an appointment, (last time I was there they charged me almost $600 for two rear brake pads). They literally quoted me an absurd $400 before tax — $200 for an oil change and another $200 for the “vehicle inspection,” which is basically plugging the car into a computer and walking around it. The oil change alone is a 20-minute job. To make it worse, I still had one free service left, but because the car was just over 36,000 miles (by about 300 miles) — and nobody from Mini ever called to remind me — they refused to honor it. I called No Limit Auto a few blocks away, and they did the whole thing the next day for $100 total with genuine dealer parts and filter. I waited while they did it and watched them— 24 minutes for the oil change and another 27 minutes exact for the inspection, all to dealer specs, all codes cleared. Bottom line: Mini Universal wanted nearly $450 for what any honest shop does for $100. Even with $200 I would have been ok. It’s not about the money, we can afford it, this is our third “around town car” — it’s about principle. This experience turned me and my wife completely off from the brand. We were planning to trade up to a Countryman soon, but after this, we’ll be going back to another Tesla for our third car instead. Congrats, Mini Universal — you made $0 today and lost two loyal customers for good. Good riddance.”
