“My vehicle was washed by the dealerships subcontractor Elegance Auto Detail and my paint is now damaged and requires a $1000-$1200 paint correction. The dealership took no responsibility and immediately shifted all blame to Elegance Auto Detail. I have been attempting to schedule a meeting with the service manager Craig as he claimed via email Elegance Auto Detail has “(…) cleaned all our vehicles new, used and customers for over five years with much satisfaction and praise from our sales team, new car customers , used car customers and service customers.” yet Craig has not seen or even asked to see the damage caused to my vehicle. Craig will not return my phone calls despite leaving messages with the receptionist asking him to please call me and he has not responded to my latest email. Elegance Auto Detail has agreed that the paintwork is damaged and offered to perform a service to correct it, I do not trust Elegance Auto Detail with my vehicle and would rather be compensated for what Elegance Auto Detail believes would be a fair value of their time and services so I could have the paint correction done by a detailer I trust and not the one that originally caused the damage. Luis of Elegance Auto Detail told me he was not going to pay someone else to do something he could do himself. I notified the general manager Jack of the situation via email and have not heard back or received a call.
Monday 8/21 I still have not had any of my phone calls returned by Luis of Elegance Auto Detail, Craig the service manager, or Jack the general manager. None of them have asked to see the damaged paintwork and they ignore me when I tell them I have photos and videos I could send them. Craig emailed me and notified me that Luis would either perform a recon service free of charge or payout the value of the service at $104.95, which is 10 times less than the quotes I received from other detailers to fix my damaged paintwork. I guarantee if I brought my vehicle in to them for a trade in it would be valued it lower in its current state than it would have before their subcontractor caused the damage. I met with Craig in person, he denied seeing any damage. Shortly after he claimed the damage was from daily driving. I attempted to show Craig a video of the damage under proper lighting, he ignored me and began to walk away, at which point I placed my hand on his shoulder, he flipped out and began yelling at me telling me to never touch him again and that he was going to have the police come down, he then told me to leave his property and never come back, all while never seeing the video or the damaged paintwork in proper lighting.
Do not let them wash your car if you care about your paint. Do not expect them to be accountable for the subcontractors they employ. Do not expect them to return phone calls or value you enough as a customer to meet with you.”
