We truly appreciated his honesty and candor — no pressure, no runaround, just genuine help and transparency. His diligence and knowledge made the entire car-buying experience smooth and easy, which is saying a lot!

“James Rule is the best salesperson I've ever had to deal with. I'm 64 yrs old and bought my share of cars. The salespersons were very pushy. The first time i came in to Mitsubishi I had James Rule. He was an outstanding person/salesman. I've bought 3 cars from him and he was never pushy with me. I won't ever go to any other dealership. Thank you James Rule you are an amazing person to work with. ❤️”

“I was involved in an accident a few weeks ago and my 2021 Hyundai Elantra was totaled. I was not at fault for this accident and I was not expecting my car to be deemed a total loss, to say I was devastated was an understatement. It may sound silly to some but my car was my pride and joy and a very reliable vehicle that I loved and took incredible care of. I knew from the minute my search for a new vehicle began that I wanted to try as hard as I could to find another Elantra as similar to mine as possible but that unfortunately became quite the dreadful process. I was struggling to find something within my budget, I was being treated poorly at dealerships, I was being told to just settle for something that wasn’t anything like my car and I was truly just exhausting all of my options. When I arrived at Hyundai of Normal, I met with John. I explained to him my situation. John was so kind, he listened to every word I said and did not interrupt me a single time. He listened to my frustration regarding another Hyundai dealership I previously just had two poor experiences with. For starters, not once did John make me feel like just another sale. He did not once try to persuade me in to settling for a car that I did not absolutely love. He understood my devastation for the loss of my Elantra and he understood my budget and was determined to get me out the door with exactly what I came in looking for. Most importantly he had compassion, which I have unfortunately recently found out is incredibly rare in this business. As I stated, I have had several extremely poor experiences with other dealerships in my search to find a new vehicle, specifically Napleton’s Hyundai of Urbana. My experience with that dealership left me feeling so upset and so defeated that I almost completely gave up on Hyundai as a whole. But John completely turned that around for me from the minute I walked in the door. He saw me as a person that was devastated over losing something I loved dearly and he did everything he could to make sure I left with what I loved. To my surprise, an Elantra within my budget was listed as a new arrival. It was one year newer than my Elantra and no photos were listed yet. John located the vehicle and brought me outside to see it. To my surprise once again, I walked out the door to see my exact car in front of my eyes down to the same color rims. I was instantly in tears. I had no idea what this car looked like before John pulled it around, I was going in blind just hoping it was a decent Elantra in good condition that could maybe compare to what I had. I couldn’t believe I was looking at my exact car right in front of me after weeks of so much disappointment. We came back from the test drive and John could see the pure happiness on my face after seeing that car and no questions asked he instantly got to work to get me out the door with it, at the exact price I told him I had to work with and he did just that. The experience I had with John was truly a breath of fresh air. He went above and beyond to accommodate me and ensure I had a better experience with this dealership than I had with the others. After weeks of hearing nothing but no, or “that doesn’t work for US, that doesn’t benefit US” it was so nice to finally sit in front of someone who says “I want to do what benefits YOU” and actually means it. Thank you John for an incredible experience. The best part is we had so much fun John. We laughed, we had in depth conversations about more than just vehicles, we were telling jokes, it truly felt like I was hanging out with a friend. I’d also like to add that Kevin (Gator, our jump rope champion!) in finance was also incredible! We shared so many laughs with this team during my visit and I left feeling incredibly thankful for them. I hope this company truly sees the value in people like John and Kevin because compassion for your loyal, returning customers when they come to you during tough times goes such a long way. Thank you for making this a great experience for me.”

“had an amazing experience at O’Brien Hyundai, even though I was actually shopping for a vehicle that they didn’t have in stock. Michelle kindly scheduled a test drive for me so I could get a feel for the model I’m considering at another dealership, and I’m so glad she did because working with Dan was truly exceptional.
Dan was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and easy to talk to. He made the whole experience feel human and connected. He was polite, relatable, personable, and genuinely kind. I honestly wish they had the exact model I’m looking for, because he’s the kind of salesperson you want to buy a car from.
I highly recommend this dealership and its sales team. If other dealerships across the country operated with this level of care and customer service, car buying would be a completely different (and much better!) experience.”

“I recently had an absolutely great experience purchasing my brand new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited from O'Brien Hyundai of Normal, thanks to the exceptional service provided by salesperson Juan Cervantes.
From the moment my wife and I stepped onto the lot, Juan was very professional. He was thorough in his explanations, patiently walking us through every feature and detail of the Tucson Hybrid. He didn't just sell us a car; he educated us, ensuring we understood exactly what we were buying.
The entire process was seamless, and that's also thanks to Kevin Burlin in finance. He guided us through all the necessary paperwork, making what is often a tedious process feel quick and effortless.
The standout service didn't stop once the papers were signed.
