“I did an instant quote online, came in to a Carmax about two days later, they told me the process checked out my car the quote that was given to me online matched with they said in person, they paired me with another representative to handle everything. There was a little back-and-forth because I had a lease and it was a Tesla, but they eventually figured it out. The entire process took about two hours. I’m grateful for the young lady who assisted me who kept going and didn’t give up during the process. I definitely would recommend going to Carmax.”

“I filled out a single application to both trade in my car and purchase a car I had shipped from out of state. The trade in process only gave me a few dates which I thought nothing of. When it came time to complete the purchase of the new car I was told that my trade in was actually a sale and so I was out of luck of saving the sales tax exemption you receive when trading towards a car purchase. I spoke with 4 people including a sales manager and was told there was nothing they could or would do. I only wanted the fair value of $350 applied to something for an error with CarMax and not of my own. Their solution, buy the new car or don’t we don’t care. I already had traded my vehicle so there wasn’t much I could do. Then, when receiving the car, there wasn’t much 5 noticeable issues which they now say I need to drive it 45 minutes to a location and leave it there. Again, it’s my only car and I have 3 kids so this is wild. My previous purchase with CarMax was pleasant which is why I trusted them this time. Lesson learned .”
