“Hello, my name is Ana Estrada, I just got my car back after a month in the shop, Mr Karol Gonzalez took my account, I don’t usually like to give out bad reviews, but I don’t like the way things where handled, from the very beginning, Mr Gonzales wouldn’t call me to give me up dates on my vehicle, he would tell me that it would be ready n it wasn’t, and then he told me that all parts were covered by warranty n when he turned in my car to me he then told me that the shrubs weren’t covered, I have everything on text, and then he told me that the oil change would be charged to my insurance, I’ve never hurd of such thing,, like I said I don’t like to complain about things, but its just that I don’t like being lied to. I hope this reaches out to the right person, I just don’t want the same thing happening to another person.”

“I recently purchased a 2024 Volkswagen GTI from Payne Volkswagen in McAllen, and while most of the experience was excellent, there’s one issue I can’t overlook. First, the good: Ben Flores, my salesperson, was fantastic—friendly, efficient, professional, and never pushy. He made the process smooth and easy. Andres Galván in finance was also great to work with—clear, quick, and respectful throughout. I traded in my vehicle, and everything related to the transaction was handled well. But here’s the problem: The specific GTI I wanted was located at Payne’s Brownsville location. Ben told me I couldn't go pick it up myself due to dealership rules, so they had someone transport the car from Brownsville to McAllen that morning. When I arrived, I immediately noticed swirl marks on the paint—possibly from poor washing practices or a cheap microfiber towel. That was frustrating, but I figured I could get the car polished myself and move on. What really upset me was what I found inside the vehicle: coffee drops in the cupholder—fresh ones—and when I turned the car on, I noticed someone had connected their iPhone to the infotainment system. I later found out the likely driver was someone named Rey. This means that during the transfer of my brand-new GTI, someone was drinking coffee and connecting personal devices to it like it was a rental. That is completely unacceptable. I waited for that car, and the first person to drive it treated it casually and left a mess. A new car should feel untouched when it’s delivered. That detail alone took away from what could’ve been a 5-star experience. To be clear: I will definitely work with Ben Flores again. His service was top-notch and he did follow up with me via email after the sale. But I really hope Payne Volkswagen addresses this kind of behavior internally—it’s unprofessional and stains an otherwise great buying experience.”
